I looked in the closet of the AV room for the PS4, it wasn't there, I couldn't wait until exams I needed it now. Megumin was watching me desperately search for it. "Why don't you sit down and just study"
"I CANNOT!" Nobody seemed to be understanding my pain
"By the way, wheres Tachibana senpai?"
"I don't know, she said she was gonna catch up with us" I said
"hey" Tachibana opened the door "Hey Tachibana senpai, how were you able to grab his PS4?" Tachibana was confused, "Oh that, after our teacher assigned Izumi and Hanekawa, I went to Izumi's house for the science project, when he said he needed to go to the bathroom, I simply took the PS4 and left" "That's really sinister" Megumin said " I know, but I will do anything to spend time- er I mean, anything to make sure he gets high marks. Speaking of the project, Izumi, did you finish the Buhr Rutherford cell diagrams?" "Yes" I replied, no use crying over my PS4 now, but I wonder what she meant when she said spend time? We added the finishing touches for the project. Hanekawa never came.
It's the day of the project, We went last, and I would say we did pretty good. After school we met up in the AV room again. "We did it Izumi, you were totally useless yet we still did it!" hey, I tried my best. I sit back "Can I have my PS4 back please?" "Nope, not until the exams finish, but to celebrate we can u-um, you know..." I stared at her confused, "W-e c-can go to the mall" the moment she said that, Megumin came in "Hey if you're going somewhere don't forget me" Megumin seemed angry at Tachibana, I wonder how there relationship is, Megumin calls Tachibana Tachibana senpai, even though they are the same age. Megumin probably respects Tachibana a lot, but now she was annoyed. Hanekawa never came again, I had to know what was going on so I excused myself and called her.
"Hey Hanekawa"
"Hi, Izumi" she seemed frightened on the phone
"Is anything wrong" I asked, sensing that
"N-no nothing's wrong hahaha"
I heard loud banging coming from the door over the phone
"Hanekawa, who's that?"
"Nobody, just a friend of mine"
"Hanekawa, I'm coming to get you"
"NO" she said loudly, "I mean, you don't have to"
"Ok I won't" I say while grabbing my bicycle outside of school, she lives near the school so I should be able to make it, I go to the house and see a rusted car parked outside, and a teenager inside. Should I call the police? Whats happening inside? My heart was racing, I felt the adrenaline pump through me, kicking in my fight or flight mode. I choose fight, because Hanekawa was the best friend I ever had. I pick up a stick and call the police. I go by the car and the man gets out, I show him my phone and who I was dialed to. 911. He ran away. I didn't care about him though, but he looked familiar. He didn't look much older then me either. I go to the door and ring the doorbell. A teenager who's buffed up answers. "WHATTYA WANT, CAN'T YOU SEE I'M BUSY?" he puts his hands on someone behind him and shows Hanekawa, all cut up and bruised. I looked at the blood and saw the teenagers other hand. A knife. He was really planning to hurt her, I remember some guys slashing my stomach with a knife. Remembering that, I felt like throwing up, my stomach started hurting, this isn't the time, Hanekawa is in front of me and shes bleeding. "HA THIS FOOL IS WHAT YOU DUMPED ME FOR?" "He's 10 times better then you" Hanakawa replied with a raspy voice, I can't take this anymore, the police are taking their time while my friend is hurt. "You b*tch, I'm gonna put you in the place you belong" as he raised his knife, I broke, it felt like I was being controlled by someone else, I pushed the teenager to the ground, as I bent down to punch him in between the eyes, I hear Tachibana and Megumin screaming : "YOU PERVERT" and jumped on the teenagers hands so he couldn't move his hands, I was in shock, "Hey Izumi, finish him off" Tachibana says, stuggling to keep control of his hand. "This is for Hanekawa, don't ever mess with my friend again!!!" I punch him as hard as I can and he is hard out cold. I grab Hanekawa as she falls. "Hanekawa, don't faint yet, I walk her over to a sofa, "Tachibana, watch over Hanekawa, Megumin get some ice" "Ok!!" they both responded, they sounded as scared as I was, I went to there medicine closet and took pain killers, and bandages, and disinfectants. Hanekawa was out cold too Tachibana and Megumin apply the medicines as I went to the doorway and found the police pulled up outside as was also Hanekawas parents, "took them long enough" I grumble, "young man" the police women said, "would you come here and explain what happened?" I left to explain, after I was done, I left to ask Hanekawa who that man was. "that boy was my boyfriend, I left him because he wasnt the one for me, he hung out with other girls as he pleased, and would say sorry every time, I was quiet because he was so charming, one day, I told him I was sick of his acts and he got so mad he slashed my hip" she lifted up her shirt and I saw the ugly long scar as she looks down. My anger returned, "Wait one sec" I say, I walk outside and see the police officers talking to the parents, I go to the police car and see him sitting inside. I open the door and throw him out and started punching him continusly. I couldnt stop. No one messes with Hanekawa, especially some perverted playboy. "HEY HEY HEY QUIT IT" The police officer screamed, I continued punching, until they dragged me off. "HE SLASHED HER BEFORE AND YOU GUYS DID NOTHING ABOUT IT, YOU IGNORED IT" I scream, "He will go to court and seek legal action, isn't that enough? Tachibana came outside to see all the commotion. I stop punching and walk over to Hanekawa. "I don't want you hiding stuff from me again ok? If anyone bothers you call me Hanekawa, I can't afford to see you hurt like this." Hanekawa cries *sob"Ok Izumi, I'm sorry, I'm very sorry, I'm a burden on you" "your no burden" I say. Hanekawa starts sobbing more. I hug her. "Dont call yourself a burden Hanekawa, relying on others is ok, especially in this situation." inside, I feel like crying too but I can't, I have to make sure I am reliable to Hanekawa. "Thank you Izumi, Tachibana and Megumi". "Always call on us if you need help" Tachibana says. I let go of Hanekawa as she sits down and cries even more. We all sat beside her. Hanekawa smiled again.
