It was raining heavily, a young man in black suite stood in front of a grave. A stick of pink rose in his hand. His face was filled with grief. He looked at the engraved stone before he dropped the flower and walked back to where he was standing. A beautiful young woman held his hand firmly and when he glanced over, she smiled at him at that moment all the tears he hand kept hidden came crashing down. The same young woman engulfed him in a tight hug, patting his back and muttering soothing words to him.
Molly gripped Lionel's hand as she dropped her flower. Tears were flowing from her eyes. She had only met the only woman a few times but had learnt a lot from her. Of course the woman knew she had no hope of living so she had decided to use chemotherapy instead to hide her pains. She didn't want to be a burden, it was a miracle the woman survived till now. All these were revealed by the doctor, they had no idea. She really felt for Kelvin, but she knew that the young man's grief will pass quickly, after all their was someone who still loved him and people who still cared for him.
Exactly three days after the burial of Kelvin's grandmother, he was recovering quickly. Harry had moved in with Zaynella. Two of them had gone to their college to register. Zaynella had taken a day off work, she had received a call from the company asking her to come and take a package the dead woman left behind.
Zaynella sat down with a file opened and placed on her lap, she had a vacant look on her face. That was how she was when Harry and Kelvin found her, even when the two young men had gone through the file, she was still seated not making any attempt to move. If Kelvin haven't tapped her she would still be in her own world. She looked at Kelvin and asked a single question.
" What do you plan on doing".
"No idea".
"I will do my best to help you find your family I promise".
"Sure, am hungry what did you make".
Zaynella smiled at the young man's obvious attempt to hide his shock. " Go check your self, you know the way to the kitchen".
Kelvin nodded and left dragging Harry with him. He stopped in front of the kitchen door.
"Don't think much of it Zy, if we are destined to meet, we will".
Zaynella nodded as the two young men disappeared into the kitchen.
It was really a shocking news when Zaynella relayed the message to Molly and Lionel. To find out that Kelvin was adopted was really shocking even to the young man himself. According to the adoption papers, he was found in the park when he was five years old. Luckily, the owner of the park found him and handed him over to child welfare. The welfare officer was a friend of Louis Heather who just lost her family in a plane accident. She knew the old woman was lonely so she urged her to adopt a child to fill the vacuum and she eventually adopted Kelvin.
Just like Kelvin wished, Zaynella didn't pursue the issue of Kelvin's adoption, she left it to faith.
She was currently dressed in a fiery red dress that accentuated her curves, it had a slit at the left side that started from a little bit above her knee to the length of the gown. The back of the gown was covered with black net, and the front had a ribbon that was connected to the
gown and tied at the neck, the gown stuck to her like a second skin. She wore a black heel and purse. She wore emerald earrings that brought out the color of her eyes. The chain she wore on her neck has a little emerald stone attached to it, on her left hand was her watch while on the right hand was an emerald jade that her mum bought for her as a birthday gift years back. For the first time, she have applied makeup, even though it was little and can go almost unnoticed. Her long hair was pulled in a perfect ponytail with no strands escaping, the tip were curled perfectly. If she could be described with only a word it would be goddess, she was absolutely breathtaking. After doing a double check, she picked her phone and card and walks out of her room.
Kelvin and Harry were playing a video game in the sitting. When they saw Zaynella, they were really speechless. They have known that the woman was beautiful even without dressing up, but today she looked really dashing, like a model that walked out from a manga magazine.
" You have the whole time in the world to stare", Zaynella said stifling a laugh.
" Sure, why shouldn't we look, its not everyday that you see a real life goddess", Kelvin remarked.
Zaynella couldn't hold it in again so she laughed hard.
" Awwww touché", she said still laughing.
" This is the perfect time for you to seduce a perfect guy and bring home for mum and dad, if Vin was here he would have told you to use your charm"., Harry joined in the joke.
" Harry is right, but you really don't need to seduce anyone, they will line up for you once you make an entrance. As I have learnt, you haven't dated for the last twenty six of your life, you always try to think of others forgetting yourself. Come to think of it, who is going to take care of you, its your night tonight Zy, go out there, use your smile and capture the heart of the person who would take care of you".
As Zaynella walked into the party that was held for her, the only thing that was on her mind where the words Kelvin had told her. She have made it a habit to look out for people, even though she doesn't regret it, she was still very lonely, to her the happiness of those people mattered more than her happiness so he went out all the way for them. Sincerely speaking, she needed someone who would love and care for her, a shoulder to lean on when she is tired, but she haven't found one yet. Love was a none existence story in life. To be honest, it wasn't that she wasn't capable of loving, it was just that apart from what she felt that time for that one person, she never felt the same way again. The party was yet to start and she was thirsty, as the two boys had predicted, her entrance was really superb, even when she tried to blend in she couldn't. Many of them men folk had talked to her both old and young and apart from discussing business, their was an ulterior motive. Having talked to most of them had made her really thirsty so she decided to escape to quench her thirst but she didn't actually escape. Luckily for her she had finished her drink and dropped the glass before she bumped into a wall. She expected an impact with the floor, but before that could happen, a hand snaked around her waist and held her, to this her heart was thumbing madly, a familiar scent enveloped her sense and when she looked up, a name escaped her lips.
" Bohai?".
