The Elder shifted his gaze back onto the Elementary Pill, as he softly exclaimed, "Truly astounding."
Meanwhile, Long Chen went to the counter and directly handed the slip of paper to the attendant. Her eyes narrowed in surprise when she saw the passing slip, and her tone turned courteous, "Senior, please hand me your Alchemist token."
Long Chen did not say a word as he took the token from his waist and placed it onto the counter, while looking towards the attendant with a slightly curious gaze.
The attendant took out something, and wisp of energy entered the Alchemist token. Instantly, another line appeared onto his Alchemist token, which signified that he was now a Grade 2 Alchemist!
"Please take your token back." The attendant cupped the token with two hands and bowed towards Long Chen, who nonchalantly received it, and observed the two lines on the token for a while, before he placed it back beside his waist.
"Oh." Long Chen suddenly recalled something, "I would like to buy a cauldron, along with a few sets of ingredients. Could you help me?"
"It is my pleasure to help." The attendant promptly replied with a smile on her face, and brought Long Chen towards a separate place where had once bought his cauldron from.
Long Chen took a quick glance at the prices labelled onto each of the cauldrons, which naturally varies based on their Grades, and decided to go for a High-Tier Grade 1 Cauldron.
He took out 170 Crystals to pay for the cauldron, and the attendant gave him back 20 of the Crystals while informing him that it was a privilege as a Grade 2 Alchemist.
He did not forget to select a new set of ingredients, for a new type of pill to refine, now that he was a Grade 2 Alchemist.
Those pills which were specifically meant to increase the speed of cultivation was the most popular pills, which was the reason why Long Chen decided to go for the Elementary Pill.
As a higher grade pill, it naturally required higher grade ingredients. He bought 20 sets of ingredients, which he felt was just enough considering that the pill was a higher grade, and was harder to make, and paid around 40 Crystals for it.
"I hope you have a nice day." The attendant politely smiled as she collected the crystals, while Long Chen, who was keeping the medicinal herbs within his storage bag, gave a warm smile in return.
When all was done, he slowly made his way out of the Alchemy Association, with an expression of delight written all over his face.
His appearance had drawn the stares of two people who were at the side, namely Elder Yin and Xiao Ran, who were coincidentally preparing to leave as well after talking to the group of Alchemists for more than 2 hours.
And the first thing Qing Ran saw, was the Alchemist token hanging by Long Chen's waist, which clearly depicted 2 lines.
Her expression turned complicated when she saw this, as she laughed at herself inwardly, "While I was happy with refining a Grade 1 Mid-Tier pill that man had already promoted to a Grade 2 Alchemist. My accomplishments, is nothing compared to his…"
Then, passion started to burn in her eyes, as she began to set this man in front of her as a target to chase after.
All this while, although she may not be outwardly exposing it, but she was getting quite haughty and conceited because of her unordinary talent.
It was common for those who are superior to others, to develop that faint sense of pride and arrogance.
But this man was the first one to deal a blow to her, which lead her to work even harder and manage to break through her limits, and refine a Mid-Tier quality pill.
The second blow came right after she did so, and now, she felt invigorated by a fighting spirit stronger than ever.
Elder Yin also noticed the Alchemist token on Long Chen's waist, and he involuntarily turned to look at Xiao Ran. Noticing that she did not seem to be dispirited by this, he nodded his head in approval and appreciation.
Only those who do not falter under setbacks, will truly shine in the future.
Long Chen also felt two gazes aimed towards him, and when he saw it was Elder Yin and the lady disciple, he cupped his fists in greeting while smiling.
It was good to be polite.
Then, staring at the teacher and disciple pair, his eyes flashed with a glint as an idea rose in his mind.
He should get Hun Yan, who had shared part of his Alchemy talent, to also find a teacher like Elder Yin to guide and provide him with resources to learn.
It won't affect Hun Yan at all, but rather accelerate his growth, and provide him with some status and influence within the Wind Cloud city.
He should have thought of this idea earlier, and not let his Alchemy talent he had shared with him go to waste!
Long Chen took out his communication jade and went to an Inn that was a distance away from the Alchemy Association, he ordered for Huo Yan to meet him there.
He ordered some random dishes and began eating while waiting.
The Inn was particularly crowded, and busting with noise and excitement, which was one of the reasons why he came here for.
"Hey, have you heard about the new gangs that are ruling the Wind Cloud City?" One of the burly man spoke in a mysterious tone of voice.
The rest of the men around him all leaned forward in interest.
"How could you all be so uninformed? The North is already occupied by the Falling Leaves Gang, while the South is dominated by the White Tiger Gang. You guys better pay attention when you meet their members, if not, you won't even know how you die." The burly man informed, while the other men all nodded their heads in approval and appreciation.
One of Long Chen's eyebrows rose in an expression of interest, but he continued to feast upon the dishes, while listening to other sources of information that constantly bustled around the Inn.
Hun Yan came a while later.
Although Hun Yan was the gang leader of the Fierce Tiger Gang, he was still only an Elementary Realm cultivator and his presence did not draw much stares.
But if Hun Yan was to kneel down right now, Long Chen was sure that the entire Inn would be looking at them in shock, which was why he gestured for him to sit instead.
"Young Master." Hun Yan slightly bowed while respectfully greeting.
"How are you so far?" Long Chen lifted his head and offhandedly asked.
"Young Master, I am better than ever. I have spent most of time in Alchemy, as you have instructed me to, and I have managed to refine 10 Grade 1 Mid-Tier Pills, and 1 High-Tier pill. I also did not neglect my cultivation, and broken through by a Realm to the 4th Elementary Realm. Adding on to Young Master's efforts, I have broken through by yet another Realm." Hun Yan promptly answered.
Long Chen took a casual glance at Hun Yan's aura. 5th Elementary Realm. Long Chen lightly nodded his head.
"What about the rest of them?" Long Chen further inquired, with his context being the rest of his subordinates.
Hun Yan knew who Long Chen was talking about, and replied with a hint of joy, "Young Master, out of the 10 other subordinates, 8 of them has already broken through to the Elementary Realm, while the other two are in the Peak of the Qi Refining Realm."
"And Young Master, these are our earnings from our monster hunting expedition." Hun Yan took out a bag of crystals from his storage bag and placed it in front of Long Chen.
Long Chen slowly opened up the bag and took a look inside. "100 Crystals!" He uttered.
Although monster hunting was not as lucrative as Alchemy, it still has its own visible profits.
He took out 20 Crystals from the bag, and pushed the rest to Hun Yan, "Take the rest and use it for your own cultivation. Remember to not slack off, because what I need is passionate and determined man, not useless and lazy ones that I easily find in any random street."
Hun Yan took back the bag with gratitude shimmering in in his eyes, "Thank you, Young Master. I will remember this, and I will definitely remind them as well."
