Chapter 1 - The Godly Talent System

"Arghhh!" A piercing scream sounded out, disturbing the peaceful atmosphere.

Long Chen felt blinding pain in his head and couldn't help but cry out in pain.

When the pain finally ended, he found that he possessed memories that weren't his. Looking around, he was utterly shocked. He couldn't believe that he was still alive.

With his newly assimilated memories, he realized that he had crossed over to another world. In this world, the fantasy like cultivation actually exists, and people can grow stronger by absorbing the Heaven and Earth qi.

What a miraculous world.

However, his wonder swiftly left when he realized that he was in a body of an orphan. Due to his elegant features, he had attracted much attention from the girls. Because of this, he had also incurred much wrath and jealously from others.

In this world, power is the law. When he had his cultivation talent tested out and the results showed that he was a waste, someone incapable of cultivation, they immediately acted on him and killed him in the forest.

What a bunch of inferior ants. Long Chen smirked. He found it a joke that the people living in this place were so lawless and pathetic, actually daring to kill someone because they felt inferior.

Regardless, he had a heap of trouble on him. Even If he still lived, he wasn't able to do anything since he was unable to cultivate. Just when Long Chen was pondering on his current predicament, a voice sounded out in his head.

[Ding…Godly Talent Upgrade System is awakening]

Host: Long Chen

Age: 13

Cultivation Talent: None

Cultivation: None

A system? What exactly was this?

He focused his eyes as he began to read the vague description on it, and his heart trembled in shock.

It could actually upgrade his talent?

Cultivation Talent is decided upon birth, and a person's path of cultivation is limited by their innate talent. If he was able to constantly upgrade his talent, doesn't this mean that his future would be limitless?

[Host is rewarded for awakening the Godly Talent Upgrade System]

Long Chen felt a wave of heat in his lower body, around the stomach region. After the heat passed, his perspective of the world seemed to have changed. He could not only see and hear further, he was able to vaguely sense the presence of particles, though weak.

It was if he was always living blind in the past and his eyes were finally opened.

Host: Long Chen

Age: 13

Cultivation Talent: Mortal Tier 3 (0/10)

Cultivation: None

"I finally have the qualifications to cultivate!" Long Chen laughed heartily.

Cultivation depended on cultivation talent. The higher the talent, the greater the cultivation speed.

This was why some could easily break through Realms without much effort, while others spend their entire lives trying to break through yet were unable to.

It was all because of talent. Talent determines the future potential of a cultivator, it determines how high their achievements will be in the future.

Those with higher talent were destined to stand above those with lower talent.

[Ding… Ant is killed. Host levels up to First Body Refinement Realm]

[Ding…Mortal Tier 1 Talent detected. Absorbing Talent]

Host: Long Chen

Age: 13

Cultivation Talent: Mortal Tier 3 (1/5)

Cultivation: First Body Refinement Realm (0/10)

This...

Long Chen looked down at the dead ant in utter shock.

Killing monsters could give you experience points?

And with enough experience points, you could upgrade your cultivation?

This seemed too unbelievable.

That meant that as long as he killed enough monsters, he could limitlessly breakthrough.

And not only that, he could absorb talent from monsters to upgrade his own talent?

Crazy!

Looking down at the ants around him, his eyes shone.

It was as if he was looking at precious treasures.

The ants seemed to sense his unusual stare, and ran away in fright.

However, how could Long Chen let his experience and talent points ran away just like that?

Not wasting a moment, he quickly slapped onto the ground, dealing fatal blows to the surrounding ants.

[Ding...Mortal Grade 3 Talent levels up to Mortal Grade 4 Talent]

[Ding...Mortal Grade 4 Talent levels up to Mortal Grade 5 Talent]

After killing a group of ants, followed by a series of continuous beeping sounds within his head, his cultivation and talent both upgraded.

With the enhancement of his talent, he felt that the surroundings seemed cleared to him, and he could much clearly sense the energy around him.

This was the advantage of greater talent.

His body had become more suitable for cultivation.

He sat cross legged and started to try to cultivate with his newfound talent.

Energy from the environment entered his body at much faster rates than before.

[Host is cultivating…Host gains 1 Experience]

[Host is cultivating…Host gains 1 Experience]

Seeing this streams of alerts within his mind, Long Chen was overjoyed.

Because it meant that not only could he kill monsters to cultivate, he could also cultivate normally.

So endless combat was not the only way for him to break through.

Killing Monsters was not his only way to break through.

If not, his cultivation will only be limited to the dark and murky forests.

Rather than in a comfortable room.

Having two ways was better than one.

Not before long, he entered the Third Body Refinement Realm

Host: Long Chen

Age: 13

Cultivation Talent: Mortal Tier 5 (0/15)

Cultivation: Third Body Refinement Realm (0/20)

He had just spent less than a day to breakthrough to the Third Body Refinement Realm.

If this was known to the world, they would be utterly shocked.

When did cultivation become so easy?

Even a top-tier genius will take at least 1 week to reach his level.

This was the difference of having a system and normal cultivation.

It could not be judged by normal limits.

After taking a look at his current status, he nodded his head in satisfaction.

Then he turned around to peer deeper into the forest.

He was only in the outer depths of the forest, where only mortal Monsters reside in.

Mortal Monsters are Monsters that have not cultivated yet.

Like those Ants that he had killed.

They were utterly weak.

Monsters that cultivate are separated by grades.

From Grade 1 to Grade 9, with Grade 9 being the strongest.

With his current strength, he could barely contend with Grade 1 Monsters.
