Well I guess I should have thought this far already as I had seen by now how the military didn't care at all about manipulating their supposedly random fights.
He came closer to the small arena, if one may call it like that. It wasn't much of an arena at all, rather a circle on the floor in which our fight had to take place. Stepping out of it didn't result in a loss either, so it isn't really there for a reason other than showing the general area to fight in.
