Chapter 55 - 55

A big mishap in my part for forgetting the biggest problem I had ever since the beginning. I might be the only bow user above Lv. 5 who has not learned the skill Eagle's Eye yet. What the hell am I doing?!

Going back to learn it today might be difficult because Captain Emily might be hungover when she wakes up, but meeting up with her should not be difficult in the future, I think.

"So what the hell have you been doing that long?"

"I'll explain later when our guild leader is here. It'll be faster to have everyone than explain it one by one."

"I never thought you were like that, Cherry. You've been touchy-touchy with her while your friends waited at the corner. I should be careful around you later on."

Michelle with her jokes again placed us in a relaxing atmosphere. Although it is really the Guild Territory Quest completion on why we are very laid back on the couch, the only furniture in our guild base.

Now that I am over my mistake somehow, I browse the NWF for any mention about Seraph or any devil in New World.

Except for library books that have been literally copy-pasted by players from New World to the forums, there were only item descriptions that mention the devil in one of its sentences. Nonetheless, I tried to get any useful information I can find.

"Good afternoon."

"Why so formal guild leader?"

"Well, I'll get straight to the point."

"You always go right straight to the point."

Richest Asian said that as soon as he entered, but he did not say anything and instead gestured through his fingers like he was navigating through something on his system.

[Richest Asian invites you to trade]

"What's this guild leader?"

"I'm going to give you the gold required for the furnishing of the village."

[Received 200,000g]

I can hear imaginary gold coins dropping from the ground when I saw how much I received from him. I never thought that it was possible to have this much gold today. If I trade all of this gold for b$, I will become a millionaire in no time.

"Hey, Cherry. How much is it that you are just standing right there."

"200k"

"Say that again?"

"200,000"

Aria who was just sitting quietly collapse when she heard me say the amount. Michelle hurriedly tried to wake her up despite not hearing the reason why Richest Asian gave it to me. Meanwhile, the perpetrator ignored everything and went on to his usual poker face.

"I heard that it cost at least this much to purchase all the necessities for players in a village. If it lacks, just message me."

"But you should be the one probably doing this right?"

"You have the quest, and you completed the quest. Don't worry, I'll accompany you later when you are planning to go to the village."

"Wait. I have not read this part of the guild book yet. How exactly do you furnish the village?"

"First you need to meet with the head of the village or in this case, it should be the girl of the quest. Since the quest is already done, all we need is to fill up some details and request for a rebuild in Lord's Office which can be located in Stargazer Tower. You will be using the money there…"

I mark all location he said on my map while taking notes everything I should be doing. With everything being said, I cannot help but feel he may have given me all responsibilities for this village.

Going to Captain Emily is probably not needed anymore, I hope. So the next stop would be the Stargazer Tower, which is the highest building in this city.

Our guild leader will be joining us later after we finish our business here in the city. We may be delayed with our levels a lot, but I need my friends to accompany me all the way or I will have the itch to go out and hunt.

So I went and helped Michelle bring back Aria to the land of the living. Up to this point, she was still unconscious on the couch. The shock might be too much for her.

'Is it even possible to go unconscious in this game?'

Thankfully, after slapping her with 20 points of strength, she woke up complaining about the pain. I explain to her our plans which she unexpectedly rejected. Her reason for it is because time is gold supposedly. Hearing that I have thousands of gold in my inventory may have triggered her desire to hunt monsters for money.

But after giving sense back to her with slight force, she agreed in the end.

Richest Asian left first and told us to just message me if we are heading to Estro village. We followed next after we took a quick break back to the real world.

Looking for the Stargazer Tower might be the easiest thing to do after fighting goblins at level one. It is located near the centre and it is the tallest building in this area, much taller compared to the building of Traveller's Plaza which our guild base is located.

This would only be one of the few building which has more NPC going in and out of the building than players.

The Lord's office should be located on the top of this tower, but we have to ask for an appointment first which may take a while. Although Richest Asian did say that Travellers may meet the lord immediately unless he is entertaining someone.

"Welcome Travellers, how can I help you."

"We would like to meet the Lord"

"Please wait a minute…"

"Do we really need to accompany you here? Seems like an overkill to have three people meet with the Lord."

Michelle quietly whispered to me while the receptionist was busy.

"Do you really want to leave your friend alone in this stuffy place?"

"Don't give us those puppy eyes. Ok, we get it, you want help handling the village. Geez, I don't remember signing up for this."

Involving them into the guild affairs was successful. I hate to admit it but having them share the responsibility is a way to ease up some of the burdens. At least know I do not need to think alone when rebuilding the village.

Since the guild leader told me what comes next and he left me to decide on my own, I will have these girls with me.

"Lord Inca awaits you at the top."

"Let's go."
