What a fruitful encounter I had following this questline. The doubts at the beginning were useless since it is worth it in the end if I finish it. I still even have Keith's quest which I am turning on right now.
"Were you able to give it to her?"
"Yeah, but…"
"I owe you one!"
[A Lovely Gift: Complete]
[Rewards: Moonlight Blessing Skill Book]
[Passive Skill: (Max) Moonlight Blessing]
During night-time (18:00 – 03:00), regenerate 2% of your HP every 5 seconds when not in battle.
Night Vision +20%
There are also stats like these? I never had night vision problems that is why I never thought of that. Even though most of my time I have been hunting at night, I never noticed it because the city was lit and lively as morning festivals go.
Now that I think about it, the moonshine is brighter than the real world moon. This may be the reason why killing those goblins in the forest was not as difficult as it should be.
'Maybe because this is the Twilight City? Too farfetched, I think. But whatever the reason is, I see this plus in night vision useful later on.'
Due to the unusual benefit, I did not see the first and best part of my new passive skill. The regen is a game-changer for a solo player like me. Farming monster would be much easier and fast if I do not need to eat food every time to regen my lost HP.
What a great skill to get before my trip to Moonshire.
I got some amazing things from this trip alone, but it does not change the fact that I was still level 5. 5 levels below Aria and Michelle.
With my 60+ gold, I stopped by the general store to buy some potions in case things go wrong. No matter how good Moonlight Blessing, it is useless during combat. Spending a few golds for weakest potions could help me avoid losing a level from death.
3 small healing potions and some basic stuff like candle lanterns and quiver of arrows, lots of quivers is my limit.
Spending b$ to convert to gold is out of the question. I am never a fan of microtransactions although it is almost unavoidable in this current day of age.
It would be my first time going quite far from the city. If I say I was not nervous, I would be lying. No one was online in my friend list, so I had no excuse for myself to do this quest in a later time.
But before I depart, I checked the forums once again to see any changes or any mentions about Hidden Quests. To my disappointment, there were zero results.
Well even if there is. I bet no one wants to share it to the public just yet and that also includes me. To Aria and Michelle maybe, but it does not look like it can be repeated base on the quest details alone.
Checking the default map I got, Moonshire was not written in it. So I went to NWF to get some information. Few posts say that the fastest way to Moonshire would be passing through the bridge in the south exit of Twilight City.
It was already late in the afternoon when I departed from the city.
There were a lot of players I passed by fighting different monsters with a variety of equipment already. Not a single player was equipping the complete starter set you can get from the beginning.
This shows how fast the progress of these people has. There may be more new players coming in, but for most, this would be there second day playing.
To reach Moonshire, I would pass three different areas before I can glimpse the entrance of it. From Level 2 monsters to Level 12, I avoid every single mob I encounter.
The locations I have passed through were all recurring scenery. It is like walking through a field of grass for thirty minutes with monsters as the animals roaming around. Nevertheless, it is still an easy journey overall.
"Moonshire should be here. So it is a cave, huh."
It was not a difficult spot to find. I was standing outside the entrance of a cave that was sticking out in the open fields. Its size also does not help of it being not standing out. At least 10 people could enter at once in this entrance alone, but I see no one near me or anyone fighting monsters within the vicinity.
I felt strange to be alone in such a populated game.
The high-level monsters must be one of the reasons why. Some people really have the guts to explore this place even when they're low level., but I am thankful for those people.
Entering the cave, no one ever mentioned that it would be this dark. Thank goodness and I bought some candle lantern before I went here. I light one of them to produce enough light to be able to see what is in front of me.
Every single candle lantern could last me 10 minutes, so I hope that my candles are sufficient till the end.
With all preparation and getting my courage up done, I stepped into the cave praying that I would not encounter any mob immediately. But only after walking a minute or so, there was already light coming out at the end of the tunnel.
Now I feel like stupid for wasting a candle lantern for a minute walk in the darkness. Although, it is better to be safe.
*Step Step*
Reaching the end of the tunnel, I was able to see why it was so bright It was like I entered a different realm and a whole ecosystem hiding here inside the cave.
I know that I am still inside a cave because I can see the ceiling far above my head.
All the light came that was being emitted in this cave came from the strange-looking rocks that were hanging on top. Those things produce the luminous aquamarine hue that spreads out all over the ground.
I wanted to appreciate the naturistic beauty more just got into, but a monster near me did not allow me. And before I know it, I was in battle.
