As Shen reached the end of the blessed path and tried to gather his thoughts to try and recall the sensation of the blessing he noticed that he could only recall a small part of the sensation of the blessing of the lightning god. Shen then turned his attention back to reality and took in as many details of the first clan he'd ever join and his heart seemed to swell with a pride he'd never felt.
From the immaculately placed bricks of stone that made up the outer walls and guard towers placed along its edge to the vines that covered their base. Shen marveled at the beauty of such a place since hed only ever known walls to be made from wood since the villages were poor and all those that lived in them longed to enter a clan. Shen noticed at this moment that an elderly man walked with a swagger to the head of the crowd of new disciples and spoke.
"Our clan as you all know is the lightning clan and the most popular choice for new disciples of our small portion of the jagged mountains" He spoke with a confidence that not just anyone could conjure up "However it is only with hard work that any of you will pass even the first realm. So you are expected to complete tasks at least once every 3 months lest you wish to face the disciplinary force of the clan" as he said that some shivered and others felt their heart go cold for just a moment and then he continued "You should all know that you can fulfill more than one task if you so choose and based on what your results are you will be awarded contribution points which you can spend at the clans different pavilions for many different things. Ranging from Cultivation techniques to pills to aid with your cultivation or even your comprehension of lightning"
At this Shen wondered only if the cultivation techniques would be as expensive as he imagined them to be. "Now as I'm about to allow you into the clans walls I only wish to tell you that once you enter our clan you may only leave if you have a task the requires you to do so I hope you all understand and accept that" All the new disciples nodded their heads when they heard that to show that they understood why such a rule is set in place "Very good now enter into the clan I helped to build from the ground up all those years ago" He said as the gates opened up and finally revealed the interior of the clan.
Shen looked around at the paved floor and carefully shaped stairs and noticed all the hand rails were carved to resemble lightning bolts and the roofs were the clans signature shade of blue and noticed the disciples within the clan walls were almost all wearing the same color of attire which was a grey with the signature shade of blue as a highlight to the sleeves, waist, and collar. Shen also noticed that the more mature looking disciples were wearing a white version of what the average disciple wore so he assumed that they were the inner disciples of the clan and steeled his resolve to one day be able to stand among those with white garbs instead of those with grey and set off to search for his new residence within the clan and finally found it after wandering for about an hour.
It was a low and crowded place but since he was an outer disciple he had no right to complain about wanting his own residence those were only gifted to the inner disciples so if he wanted his own place he'd have to work for it. He shouldered his way over to a bed that wasn't yet taken grabbed his outer disciples outfit and changed into them feeling the silk on his arms and back was a new and pleasant sensation for him and then he decided he'd do some exploring of the clans grounds tomorrow but for now he decided to rest up and prepare himself for whatever challenge the next day may hold.
