Silence. The longer the silence between them was, the wider Artie's grin grew. She was quite proud of making Herriot frown so badly while Larkin was secretly and soundlessly giggling behind her. What? This aggrieved wife was crying her heart out earlier that the only thing that stopped her was her hunger. She needed something fun to poke at, and Herriot was quite an easy target.
The prince didn't know what was happening, but he wanted to wipe that grin off of Artie's face without getting violent. Not only was Larkin around, but even Artie herself was a powerful fighter. He had no reason and the willingness to actually test his strength against the two of them now.
"Do men look like chairs now? Get off of me." Herriot ended up shooing Saritsa off of him, and Artie only laughed out before having the audacity to drag the tray of lemon cakes closer to her and out of Herriot's reach.
