Never Nyx's heart, beating a few times a minute, had felt so heavy and painful. It was as if someone was squeezing him with their hand, not giving a damn about his pleas. Why did the spell have to be so bad on him in such a short time? Sitting next to Day, asleep, he squeezed her hand when he felt a wave of pain wash over him again.
"Knock-knock," said Minndt cautiously, accompanied by Foud, who was holding a tray.
"He won't eat. He sleeps soundly."
"The tray is for you. You haven't eaten anything in days."
"I'm not hungry."
"You have to eat, even if you don't feel the hunger pangs."
"Your brother made the broth," Foud added, coming over to put the tray on his legs. "He said he would come and take care of you if you didn't eat. And it wasn't in a friendly sense!"
"I guess so."
"Come on, eat."
"News?"
"Yeap. But eat first, think about your meal for a moment, nothing else."
