Foud was suddenly woken up from his sleep, paralyzed, sweat beading on his forehead. His distraught eyes stared at the ceiling in the almost total darkness of his bedroom. Only the candle on his bedside table lit the room. He gently moved his arm, stroking the silk sheet of the mattress before finding nothing. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Louis was not there. The lightning god stopped moving and began to cry. He didn't know why, but the tears rolled down his cheeks without him being able to stop them. The clicking of one of the windows was heard.
