The incessant names of the two pastries had been ringing in the ears of Day and Nyx for half an hour. It annoyed them, and the urge to get up was strong. But neither of them found the courage to get out of bed. They were warm, their pillow was perfectly positioned and through the window, they could see snow falling at the end of October. Other than Kin and Gold's argument, there was not the slightest noise. The blond barely moved when he felt his mate's warm body against him. He pulled back just a little more against him, letting his arm slip under his neck to take on the role of his pillow.
"How are you this morning?" Nyx asked softly as his other arm rested on Day's hip.
"It hurts a lot less this morning...Look, I can turn my wrists, that's it. It hurts, but I can."
