Monday.
Eyes on his phone, Gold desperately waited for a response from his parents. Whether it's a call, a voicemail, or even just a word. Anything would suit him as long as he got an answer. The sky was already high in the sky when they had to say goodbye to the Monty family and return to the monastery. Hours passed, and still no answer.
"You've been looking at your phone all the time for an hour, kid. Wouldn't you like to take it down a bit?" the Lord finally asked as he had tea together at his request.
"I'm waiting for an answer, grandfather."
"From who?"
"O-tousama. Yesterday he texted me, and I responded with compliments from the Montys, and he didn't respond. He saw the message, though."
"Is this weird?"
"Yes. O-tousama always responds. I tried to call my dad and even the house phone, but no one answered."
