There was once a playful celestial fox who lived all alone in an endless meadow. The fox was so lonely, having no one to talk to and to play with, that it prayed to the gods for a companion.
One day, it noticed a flame burning at the tip of its tail. Finding it interesting, the fox tried to chase it, happily going around and around in an attempt to catch the small flame.
After chasing its tail for more than a millennia, a strand of burning fox fur fell on the ground, igniting part of the meadow in flames.
Out of the fire came a voice asking, "Why do you chase your tail?"
The fox replied, "I don't know, maybe because I'm lonely."
