Castion"s POV
I was so excited to ask Lyza out I forgot about the school camping trip this weekend. How was I gonna take her out and go on the field trip at the same time? Maybe we can go out tomorrow instead? I feel like such an idiot right now. Let me text her to try and change the date.
"Hey Lyza forgot about the trip this weekend, are you available tomorrow?"
I hope that didn't make me sound desperate. It's been over five minutes and she still haven't responded. Maybe she thinks I'm a creep or something.
Ding
"That's cool, had to run it by Jordan and Jarrett."
"Okay see you at 6"
"K"
After seeing her text my heart stopped racing so fast. Maybe, I can get some answers. Hopefully, Jordan and Jarrett being there won't distract us. I decided everybody could meet at my house and take my truck to give Lyza a tour and then go to Rizo's for dinner.
Great, now that I have that planned, I can take care of some family business. I decided to head over to the east wing of the house to my father's office. I don't need my dad ruining my plans for tomorrow with any work. I knock once out of respect but I know he knows who is at the door.
"Son, come in"
"Hey dad," before I can finish he raise his eyebrow up questionly. I already know why he did this so I correct myself.
"Father"
"Yes"
"I was trying to finish that assignment you gave me early and was trying to make sure you didn't need anything else before I finished it. I have some plans for tomorrow."
"May I ask, what plans you have son?"
"Oh, me and some friends are going out for a drive. I'm showing some new kids around the area."
'That's fine just get that report to me before you leave."
He just went back to what he was doing and that was my cue that I was dismissed.
"Yes father," I responded as I headed out the door.
Great, now I don't have that to worry about any extra work let me go finish my report so I can prepare for tomorrow. But first I called the detailer to come and pick up my truck to give it an extra clean and shine. I normally would do it myself, but I wanted to save time while working on my orders.

Lyza's POV
I was going through some old journals when my phone pinged. I had a message from Castion.
"Hey Lyza, forgot about the trip this weekend, are you available tomorrow?"
Dang, I did too but I have to make sure Jordan and Jarrett are free. I want to go out with him just not by myself. I decided to text Jarrett first.
"Hey call me"
I didn't get an immediate response so I texted Jordan.
"Hey we forgot about the trip this weekend you free tomorrow?"
"Yeah sure," she instantly responded. I think Jordan is secretly excited for this date.
"Ready for shopping," I asked her.
"Yeah see you at the mall in 30 min"
As soon as I received that last message from her Jarrett called.
"Hey, what's up?"
"We forgot about the trip this weekend so we changed the double date to tomorrow."
"That's cool."
"You going on the camping trip this weekend?"
"I don't know yet, I really won't know anyone there."
"Oh, okay well I have to get ready to go shopping with Jordan."
"Oh no, didn't you guys just go shopping?" I couldn't stop from laughing at his response.
"Yes, but that was for the camping trip this is for tomorrow." I could feel his eye roll through the phone.
"Well, thanks for the heads up, I know not to go to the mall today," he said with a laugh.
"Okay bye," and we both hung up. I think Jarrett might be an alright person but I will have to wait and see if I'm right though. That conversation lasted a few minutes before I was finally able to texted Castion back.
"That's cool, had to run it by Jordan and Jarrett."
"Okay see you at 6"
"K"
With that I got ready to head to the mall for another round of shopping with Jordan. Cross finger and toes we only come out with a bag or two this time.

Some undisclosed location…
A man is sitting at a desk going through some files on his computer when the phone on his desk rings.
"Yes," he answers.
"Sir, there is a camping trip this weekend that I am going to attend. There are only a select number of students attending. I decided to use this opportunity to search for the source of power among them or eliminate any of them as suspects of having it."
As the person on the other end was talking the man at the desk was hacking into the school system to find out the location of the camp. Then, he sent a memo out for a team to be mobilize in the safe zone that was near the site. If the wrong person found out one of his people would in their zone it could be dangerous and start a war so this matter had to be handled delicately.
"I've pulled up the location so just be careful. It looks like you are in enemy territory. A team will be ready nearby in the closest town just in case you need backup."
"Yes sir."
"Try your best to find out what this power source is and who has it."
"Yes sir."
And with that the man hung up. He didn't know what was going on but he could feel something big was going to happen. On top of that was the fact they had some verified, but blotchy, intel about a formidable new power source.
