Ivy green walls surrounded a form spread out on the bean bag of gold, relying on the summer painting of yellow and reds dancing together like flames in a camp fire, soothing her mind as the breeze lets in the curls of her parakeet streaked hair, defining them from the midnight mop owned by the body it possessed. The concept of red and silver complimented the unused mattress laid in the center of the grand room.
Although the grand room shown the rich, privileged and wealth of the world, only one figure inherited the space. A young female, 24 years of age, lay in a starfish position, spread out to her own discretion trapped in the thoughts that rampaged through her mind.
If people were to describe her, they would all say a rich snob who had everything...
How wrong they would be.
Most people over looked the pressure that she was in, considering the shadow she had above her from her own twin being constant. Although the pressure had gotten her into much trouble in school and the outside world, she had to rely on the happy memories to keep her sanity in tact. If you were to ask how Leo Andrews had been there for her, she'd struggle getting an answer out. Parental care for her wasn't the best either as their main focus was on getting her older brother into the right headspace when it came to business. In all honesty she had felt neglected as a child yet had pity on her brother, that however changed from pity to envy at the forgotten memories she had faded away completely. This was the norm for Laurenza Andrews and how she lay there questioning how her childhood had any light to it.
That change in her life came when a young chubby girl came to her attention...
Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
People surrounded the forestry of the scene as the trees swayed in a calming breeze, bench filled picnics creating an atmosphere of an unbreakable peace.
One family sit, in an eerie quiet silence as they peppered a young boy. Raven hair was neatly gelled to one side as the praise to him never fled the adults expressions. 8 years old and still no recognition from her own parents, well not full recognition, just acknowledgement. Smiles appeared on the three faces as a lost expression took over the fourth's. Long raven hair was shoved awkwardly over into a messy plat resting on her right shoulder, her sky blue eyes wandered around to avoid the happiness in front of her. In one swift movement the child was up on her feet, a ghastly look clearly visible in her irises as she stumbled away from the happiness surrounding her, not realizing she had caught the eye of an overly joyful 6 year old's forest irises.
Once she had got settled upon an abandoned wall, a silent crystal fell from her chin to the concrete flooring below her now shaking form. Quick little footsteps could be heard as the chubby six year old who she had no clue she had caught the attention of, ran in her direction and hesitantly wrapped her arms around the little amount she could, leaving the sniffling child to return the hug out of pure desperation.

This just gave the insight to the young girls mind as she lay there, questioning the simplicity of friendship and how quickly it can become corrupted. The only person who cared, gone. Leaving her alone in this god forsaken world they call their own, a world where happy memories appeal to the ones who need it the most. Laurenza doesn't like to admit it, and can't be proud of it at times, but here is where she resides, in her head, showering herself in self pity, stuck in the past like an invisible wall was trapping her in. This could be her sanity, maybe her safe place; only she would ever know. The fluffy streaks of soft blades of grass lay in a blanket of darkness, as if they were the only light in her mind, telling her the future. She'll meet Amelia again, she just wished she knew when but that's something she may never know...
Flashback ______________________________________________
"What do you mean? Your leaving to go to England?..." overwhelming a ten year old like this surely couldn't be healthy.
"I-I don't wanna go but my parents are moving and I have to go with them.. I'm sorry Laurenza, I really am..." Amelia tried to speed her speech so she could get it all out in one breath, " but what if you get hurt out there, I cant protect you if your not close to me! Why!? Can't I go with you? Please! I-it's not safe out there! What if I lose you and I can't ever find you again an--" a calm humming sound calmed her down as small hand of an eight year old stroked her tears away unable to say anything, not trusting her voice to cooperate with her this time.
Footsteps began to become louder by the second as they silently vowed to meet again, later in life, and certainly to never forget each other nor their friendship, colored streaks in their hair bound them to that promise...
Two adults stood impatiently above them, waiting to leave as soon as possible. Laurenza took this chance to death glare Amelia's parents and hold her just a little tighter, not wanting to let go and let them take way the only good thing that happened in her life for the past 2 years...
Good times had to end... But why so soon...
