Making my way down the stairs I ran past the kitchen where the boys still sat. Ignoring their stares I headed straight for the door vanishing out of their sight before they could even say a thing. Pocketing my hands in my jacket I heaved a sigh as I made my way down the sidewalk towards the park.
The walk there felt longer than usual as I walked with my head to the ground. My mind felt muddled as hundreds of thoughts raced through. I mean how could it not? After all the time I have spent with the boys I thought we had become closer and dare I say, a family.
"Ugh, maybe I was just deluding myself"
