The putrid smell of blood that lingeries the air suddenly disappear, the Chimaera's body turned to ashes as the wind blew it away leaving a strange looking seed on the center of the crater with is producing a almost unaudible sound of a beating heart.
I picked it up and inspect it, it's as big as my thumb and was soft on the touch,and inside of its transparent shell was a fetus like creature, its undeveloped limbs,wad twiching a little, as its tiny heart beats in a steady phase.
It turn its head towards me, even though its eyes was close i can feel it can see me.
But instead of being scared or disgust, im curious, how can a harmless looking thing came out of that monsters. Before i can ponder further, the fetus started to convulse a few second as its heart stop beating.
Its pinkish color slowly turning blue and the it's switching slowly stops. its clear to me now, I'm watching this creature die and i can't do anything to help it. I can't explain it, but felt sad for this little guy,
I hear a step in my back.
"A nymphling with a destroyed vessel will perish alongside it." Jacqueline said solemnly.
"Is there...anything i can do to help this guy?" i ask.
"Nothing much...that poor thing has spend its life as the energy source of monster, so being freed by you was the most help it can get."
Hearing that, i could only watch as the seed slowly turned gray.

The notification has given me a choice, to give this little guy's a chance to live or let it die and let it have its eternal slumber.
A little cost to pay for an innocent life to be spared of death.... i clicked yes.
The seed started to beat once again. as its color begin to return.

A warm fuzzy feeling spreads from my chest to my whole body. calming my heretic mind.
"I see..."Jacqueline smiles.
Our surroundings started to tremble, and after i blink we have returned to the garden. the injuries i tooks from that strange world reappeared. but thankfully it all stop bleeding. and the warm feeling in my chest was still here, confirming that all of that wasn't a dream.
Exhausted i sat to the ground covered in grass. Jacqueline followed and sat beside me.
What strange is that our clothes was still intact like nothing happened. Looking at Jacqueline i can see that she was looking at me with amusement was in her eyes.
The emotions she shown to me in that dark world has sparked so many questions that I wanted to ask but lets start by the monster attack.
"what just happened?" i asked
"We were transported to the shadow realm by an eye that spawn hybrid monsters, thankfully you managed to kill the monster and free us both"
"Will that happened again?"
"i dont know" she answered.
"What's a nymph?"
"A being that coexist with nature, but let me ask you, why did you let a mere nymph use you as a vessel?" she asked.
"Was dangerous?"
"No, but normally you won't" she answered her answer seems to point out that she knew me.
"I have experienced so many much strange things to with you today Jacqueline and I want answers, who's Ares? "the things that the voice on my head said, still lingers on my mind.
"Its you..where did you hear that?" she asked
"From a voice that given me the power to defeat that monsters"
"Anything else he told you?"She asked.
"nothing except for paying his end of the bargain or something."
"Thats good and i suggest that you stop thin much out that voice ok" she said, i felt like she was hiding something about that but it looks like i can't force her to answer.
"What...are you?" i asked.
"I'm your wife" Jacqueline answered almost immediately .
"No...I mean, what are you beside my wife" i asked again
"I'm your wife, thats all you need to know for now "
"We almost die from a monster attack coming out of an eye thingy and your still trying to hide the truth?"
"Trust me Ares, Its better this way"
"Why me?" i asked looking at her ruby red eyes.
"Because..... it has to be you" She answered.
She looks like she will not answer any of my questions any further, and I'm surprised that I kept calm until now, even with all of the crazy things happening rigth now.
What else can i do, call the cop? the only one that can help me get through this is probably Jacqueline and myself alone.
I migth have think that it was all a dream, but my aching wounds and sore body told me it wasn't and the beauty beside me, that claims to be my wife was as no means imaginary.
Monsters... those thing migth attack me again, but instead of being scared for my life its somehow making me smile in anticipation.
Its a weird feeling considering that i migth die next time they appeared, but thanks to that that i can keep calm and somehow return to reality of life.
Having cleared my mind from those thoughts I stand up. the power i got from that mysterious entity will likely help me to get through this crisis.... i hope it will, i can't leave my sister alone on this world.
