It feels like the time and the world has stop moving. I tried to comprehend the sudden things that was going on in front on me.
In the middle of my thought the winged creature flew down and attacked me. Jacqueline quickly dashed in the middle of us.
A brigth golden ligth materialized in front of her block the claw of the ravenous monster. that was about cut my head clean off.
*Bang*
The beast was so powerful that she was thrown away by the impact, with a panicked reaction I somehow managed to catch her, but because the force was so strong i was also sweep away. landing back first to a nearby building.
I managed to resist the impact, but my back was now painful. Thankfully it looks like i didn't broke a bone. I slowly staggered up feeling a little ligth headed, but quikly recovered.
the huge winged creature was now raised its lion head directly staring towards me showing it giant fangs, while its goat head was looking all around the place. its serpent tail was also pointing its head toward me, as a thick greenish liquid flows from its venomous fangs.
In that moment i knew, what ever that creature was, there is one thing for sure, its going to kill me.
Jacqueline was laying emotionlessly by my side, so I didn't even think twice before grabbing and holding her in a princess carry before started to run as fast as i could. She's actually ligther than she look.
The girl didn't resist or said anything to me. Seeing this, the beast roared angrily , this time, flapping its wings to our direction.
"There's no use.... if you can't defeate that creature, we'll still be trapped here forever, in the shadow realm and will die by its hands one way or another." she said softly while still in my embrace. her breathing was labored. that magic or something she did earlier must been so taxing on her part.
I look towards the monster.
"Defeat that creature? maybe if i command an army i will have chance!" i run out of the school ground and into the street, the people are no where to be seen only buildings, and car remains on the way.
Because of the reason of running for my life, I didn't have time time to think too deeply about whats happening.
*Rooooar*
The creature is gaining on us, so i tried to search for an escape route. or maybe somewhere to hide. then I remembered the subway where the entrance was too narrow for that monster to follow.
I know this city well enough to Vanish and confused the monsters, so i migth be able to reach the subway before i got caught.
The beast was landed on the ground, and to my surprises it actually alot faster than it was in the air.
And its only a few feet away from me before it can grab me with its claw. then i saw narrow area between two buildings , I suddenly turned rigth to a corner.
Because of the monster huge body, it could not fit in the opening, so it used it claws and wings to climb up the building making the distance between us increase.
After a few hours of running from corners to corners and confusing the monsters, i can finally see the entrance of the subway.
The bad news is that, the monsters is almost about to reach us. its just matter of time before it can actually shred me to pieces.
My steps became somewhat sloppy, as my sweat stings my eyes, my breath became hurried, while I felt that feets are chained in a metal balls.
I will not let it end this way. So with every ounce of strength i mustered a short burst of speed towards the intrance of the subway.... I actually managed to reach the entrance of the subway.
*pseeeek*
A sudden sharp pain on my shoulder woken me up from my thoughts, looking back i saw that the serpent has managed to sink its fangs in the shoulders. and dragged me backwards
*bang*
Jacqueline manage to release another burst of golden energy, releasing me from the serpents grasp. Without wasting any second, I threw Jacqueline inside the subway.
The monster grab that opportunity to attack once again sending its claw towards me. seeing this i raised my hands up to protect me.
*pseeeek*
Its claw has manage to hit, i saw red blossoms of blood Spurting from my wound, my rigth eye is burning from pain while my forarms and chest felt numb.
The impact was strong enough to thrown me inside the subway. I fall to cement floor face first. i slowly turn around to breath and i saw a trail painted with dark red with my blurry vision, its likely my own blood.
Alicia? i saw sister kneeling beside me looking at me with tears in her eyes, but when i blink, its actually Jacqueline who is kneeling beside me, Hallucination?
"Ares ! don't closm~ yur~m~ eye~dm! " she was saying something that I can't comprehend. but i can clearly see the sorrow on her eyes., Why would a beautiful girl who I didn't knew, care for me to much, who i'm i really her husband?
that was the last thougth that crossed my mind before i slowly stopped feeling my body and my eyes are closing as i look at Jacqueline one last time, before darkness surrounds me...

"Look how pathetic you had become Ares" a deafening voice of a man boomed in consciousness.
"who are you!" i asked.
"Me? ha ha ha.... well, lets just say, that i'm here to held up my part of the bargain."
"I felt so bad in giving you the tiniest amount of power and memories."
Suddenly a ball of white energy floats in my sea of consciousness.
"I'm amused on seeing you suffer, so I'll give you that, consider it as little gift from the bottom of heart, so please accept it. Now wake up, survive, and amuse me"
After the voice disappeared the white orb became bigger and bigger until all i can see is nothing but white.
then words appeared.
