The next day evening;
"Are you saying the truth, Dear?" Lord Surya furrowed his brows when heard about the destruction of a bow at Vishwakarma's palace.
He couldn't help but remember his meeting with Lord Shiva, once again.
Unfortunately for him, his wife also remembered the same. She said in worry, "Lord Surya, what should we do now? He started having strange visions in dreams. His divine energy is getting chaotic. Somehow, I'm getting this strange feeling that he will leave me just like all of my children."
"You cannot stop him from fulfilling his destiny, Dear," Lord Surya patted her shoulder. "What we can do is to do your job as the parents and leave the rest to fate."
"But, what about his divine energy that is going out of control? If he continues to perform tapasya, I'm worried that he would harm himself. Sade sati hasn't gone from his kundali yet. So, the possibilities of misfortunes will only rise. You have to do something." She expressed the last of her worries regarding her son.
Lord Surya, who anticipated it beforehand, nodded firmly, "I have already thought of the solution. I decided that until he becomes qualified to start his education, I will seal his divine energy with my own."
"I guess that works." Sanjna agreed with it.
Three years passed away in a blink of an eye;
Karna grew up into quite a handsome teenager, well, in those days, 16 years is as good as an adult. But, he is still two weeks away from being one though.
In the past three years, along with height and masculinity, other changes are also seen inside him.
Well, it's more like improvements though.
The first is that he has surpassed his future father-in-law in music. If they have a battle, he would win atleast 7 out of 10 times.
Second is that he became an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva, and just like other countless devotees on earth, he wishes to have darshana of his god at least once. The only thing that is stopping from him doing a continuous tapasya is his mother.
He knew that his mother would be sad if he doesn't even eat for one time. So, how could he think of sacrificing sleep and hunger to perform tapasya?
The third thing is his divine energy.
While his divine energy was sealed up for sure, it grew in tremendous amounts due to constant tapasya towards Lord Shiva with a pure heart. At the same time, it turned more chaotic as time passed. But, due to Lord Surya's own divine energy, which is standing as a guard, Karna's divine energy had never once escaped from his body even once during the past three years.
The fourth and final thing is his relationship with family members.
His mother, father, and brother Yama were as close as ever. But, along with them, Karna also got a bit close to Shani much to the displeasure of Lord Surya and Goddess Sanjna.
As his mother doesn't like him to meet Shani, Karna would usually make trips to the abode of Shani in secret. There, he gets valuable life lessons from his brother.
Unfortunately, there were two desires of Karna that never came true until now. One is to visit Hell and see the kingdom of his brother Yama and the other is to get this special divine weapon his grandfather created for him but isn't even letting him take a peek.
Is it a bow, a dagger, or a spear, Karna has no idea of what types of weapon it even is and always wondered when that right time comes.
But, he felt a connection certainly formed between his weapon and himself. Whenever he visited his grandfather, Karna somehow gets the feeling that it is calling him.
Meanwhile, on the earth, a couple of years ago, Madri had also given birth to the twins and the family of eight is happily living in a forest, located in the Himalayas.
Yudhishthira, age 6, is looking after the twins, Nakula and Sahadeva.
Bheema, age 5, is being fed by his mother Kunti. For some reason, he was always hungry, eats six-eight times a day. Even at such a tiny age, his eating capacity is the highest in the family including the adults. Thankfully, the forest is blessed with everything. So, they never had the problem of food.
Arjuna, age 4, for the first time had touched a bow. Maybe, it is fate that he will become an archer. For the past couple of months, he was trying to learn archery from his father.
Picking up his tiny bow, Little Arjuna is currently practicing how to shoot the arrows properly. King Pandu was so happy that he would be able to see the results of the boon. These days, he was feeling too comfortable with his current life.
Now, he was only waiting for his kids to become adults so that he can send them to Hastinapur to become proper princes and served the kingdom.
Meanwhile, at Gandharva Loka;
15-yr-old Karna was playing the veena. His fingers were continuously moving over the strings while his eyes are closed. Everyone is also immersed in the melodic music that is very pleasant to their eyes.
However, for Karna, the experience was different. He was watching the dance of two shadows in his head. One was a male and the other was a female. The female shadow was quite normal without any distinct features but the male one has a crescent-shaped object on top of its head and a shadow of a snake around the neck.
In his imagination, the background was a starry sky with a full moon.
As his piece was about to end, the two shadows appeared on the top of the moon while merging together, bringing a smile to his face. Unlike before, the shadow dance of Shiva-Shakti is complete now. As for why he was only imagining the shadows, it's because he never knew what their real appearances look like. All he can imagine is their outlines based on the descriptions given by his mother.
After finishing playing the piece of music, he finally opened his eyes, receiving applause from everyone.
"I lost, son." Gandharva King Chitrasen announced his defeat with a smile. He further said, "No matter how many times I praise you, it is less. You are indeed divinely gifted in the arts of music."
A couple of moments later, the king ordered everyone to leave.
After they left, he said, "Today, I will teach you the destructive music."
"Destructive music?" Karna looked at him curiously. The others started to murmur among themselves.
"Music isn't only be used as a form of entertainment. It can be weaponized. You must have heard about the story of Ramayana." Chitrasena said to him.
Karna nodded, "I'm aware of it."
King Chitrasena then started to explain, "The King of Lanka, Ravana is not only a scholar but also highly talented in music, perhaps, one of the best. Due to his arrogant nature, he had put it away but with playing a raga using the veena, he could even bring an earthquake.
Along with Rudra tandava, Lord Shiva can also bring an end to the world using a piece of destructive music.
Goddess Saraswati can destroy one's knowledge just by playing the veena.
Lohitang once used the power of music and waged a war against Mahadev and other deities.
Forget about them, Oh Suryaputra, you, yourself can accelerate the growth of plants and flowers using healing music. And years ago, your divine energy once went out of control. Then, unknowingly, you turned the healing into destructive music.
He, who has the power to protect someone, also has possesses the power to harm another.
However, this music comes with great responsibility. Even I only know two pieces of music, which are passed down by my father. I don't have any male heirs to pass it to. That's why I'm passing down it to you."
Time passed. Karna picked it up quickly.
After a while, he took his leave and left the palace. Karna went to the gardens where a beautiful girl was seen watering the flowers.
He let out a smile and called out her name, "Roshini..."
