Joy's POV:
As soon as school was over, I got out of the building along with at least 1000 other kids, and texted the Group Chat, to let everyone know I'm not coming to Andy's today. I let out a huge sigh.
We were supposed to have fun today, especially since it was Friday.
"agghhhh!"
How annoying, I thought.

As soon as I got home I hurried down the hall trying not to make a sound, but luck wasn't on my side today.
"Joy, there you are, your brother is coming in 1 hour, make sure you wear something nice,...oh and-"
"mom, I was wondering if I didn't go"
My stepmother's energetic energy turned stiff.
"What do you mean you aren't staying for dinner, do you have a late-night study group today, ill call and just can-"
"No...I was gonna go over to Andy's today"
"For what"
"Well um to hangout"
My step-mother narrowed her eyes at me.
"You can hang out with her after church, so why do ridiculous thin-"
"It's because Risa, Ian, and Isaac are gonna be there"
My mother's once stiff face turned annoyed.
"You seriously wanna miss a family gathering just so you can hang out with those Jews Twins and that Muslim girl, I was ok with Andy since her parents go to our church, but how can you be friends with someone who don't even have your beliefs"
"Does friendship really have to deal with religion"
"I'm only trying to help you, the closer you get to them the more awkward its gonna get, soon you'll start feeling uncomfortable, what will the church think when they find out the priest daughter has friends that don't believe in God."
"What does the church ha-"
"That's enough Joy, don't be like Jessica and be a disappointment to your father."
What does Jessica have to do with anything?
"Just like that whore you're going into the wrong crowd huh, pfft I expect nothing less from teenage girls, just study like your brothers, Justin and Jack, so you can be like Josh, is that clear"
"..."

"Yes, ma'am"
"Thank you, now wear something nice"
My mother went back to the living room where she was reading a magazine.
I sighed and went to my room.
When I got to my room, I threw my bookbag and flopped on my bed.
I looked around my room and saw all the pink and girly interior. When we first moved here I wanted to renovate my room into a blue galaxy with all the planets, but my mom thought it was too boyish and made my room pink and white since they both stood for innocence and prettiness.
My mother well stepmom never really cared about me and my older sister Jessica, she was more worried about Josh, Jack, and Justin, my father was the same. After my older sister got pregnant at 16, it didn't take them a second to kick her out, they even took out their anger on me. The only light I ever had in my life was my birth mom, after she died from cancer when I was 7, my father remarried a year later to Susan aka my stepmom who was 18 years younger than him. My father never really loved her, he just wanted an obedient housewife that can take care of the children and house. I felt bad for her but also was disgusted she never loved him either she just wanted to live a comfortable life and live off her husband and children.
I sighed, I shouldn't be thinking about unnecessary shit like this.
I got up and put on a Buton up Self Belted jumpsuit, and put my hair in a messy bun.
I had 50 more minutes left. So I started studying to kill time. That's when I heard my phone start ringing. I picked it up to see Andy, Risa, Ian, and Isaac all on facetime screaming, "HEEEYYYYYY!".
"Hey guys"
"We wish you were here, we can't even play league of losers cause we need five people," Risa said annoyingly.
"Yeah we miss you, sis," Ian said sadly.
"Gezz cant your parents just let you came over," Isaac said.
"You guys she doesn't have that much freedom lets just respect her parents," Andy said while hitting Isaacin the head.
I sighed,
"it's fine you guys just have fun"
"Wish you were here, "They all said.
"Me too"
"Oh that's right have you heard the rumor," Isaac said.
"What rumor"
"Well you know that new girl, Luna, there's a rumor saying that shes bisexual"
Huh?
Ian hit Isaac in the head.
"Why would you believe some rumor some scumbag probably made that up"
"I'm just saying, you never know remember that rumor with Emma"
Emma was Ian's old girlfriend, she was sweet and innocent, but a rumor came out she was cheating, at first no one didn't believe that rumor since Emma wasn't that type of person, that was until Ian caught her making out with one of his swimming teammates, thankfully he got over it quickly, and didn't hold a grudge but he was traumatized by the situation and wasn't able to date a single girl.
Andy and Risa both hit Isaac in the head.
"What the hell, stop hitting me in the head, ill get a concussion!"
"You Baka why would you bring that up," Risa said.

Ian sighed,
"you guys it's fine I'm over it anyway"
"Well anyway, "I said trying to change the subject.
"Why don't we a-"
"JOY YOUR BROTHERS ARE HERE!"
Annoyingly everyone heard my mother telling me to come downstairs.
"Was that your-"Andy said.
"My mom"
"I guess you're about to go, "Isaac said, a little said.
"Don't worry, well talk tomorrow" Risa said.
"Ok bye you guys," I said.
We said our byes and I hung up.
My mother said an hour but he came in less than thirty minutes.
I scratched my neck, I was hoping to get some alone-time, I guess not.
I got up from my desk and opened my door.
Welp time to walk through Hell.
