I wake up to the sound of birds chirping and how I forgot to close the windows yesterday. I turn to look up towards the ceiling and cringed when I moved to fast for my injuries.
I let out a sigh and closed my eyes. I laid there for a few minutes and I then opened my eyes slowly and got out of bed. I go to my closet and get clothes to shower. I do my morning routine and then I go to where I left my cello.
I smiled and start to get my cello out of my case when I looked around my room and I didn't find my chair. I stopped what I was doing and I look everywhere around my room. I couldn't find my chair.
Where did I put my chair? I thought to myself. I groaned when I remember that I left it out in the living room. I sighed and went to go get it. When I finally reached my room with my chair in my arms I then realized that I had forgotten to bring my music binder. I groaned louder when I realized that I had to go down the stair case again.
When I finally had everything I needed, I got inside my room and prepared a little corner of my room to place my cello. First thing I did was take out my cello and place it gently on its side.
Then I got out my bow and my rock stop. I lifted my chair and put the end of the rock stop under the leg of the chair. I got up and went to the other side of my room to get a stand for my music binder and bow. When I was all ready I tuned my instrument and cringed when I heard how out of tuned it was.
I didn't play my instrument for a month and it showed. I got it tuned and started playing my favorite piece. The name was Tarantella and I was barely on the second page because I couldn't practice for a month.
I practiced for hours and when I was confident in myself I played it without looking at the sheets of music. When I got back to earth I heard clapping, I sharply looked to my right and saw most of the maids there. I blushed and looked down at my cello, my hair fell down in a curtain blocking them from seeing my face.
"You sounded wonderful" said Maria, a young maid that started working here a couple months ago.
I smiled at her and remembered that a couple months ago we acted like friends before I distanced myself from her. Before that happened she taught me Spanish. I'm proud to say that I understand and speak Spanish like it was my first language.
"Gracias Maria" I said. She beamed at me and left to finish her duties. I watched her leave and when I couldn't see her anymore I turned to look at the boy.
I smiled and gave a nod to Tony. He smiled back and then blushed. I shook my head at him playfully. I don't know why he has a crush on me,I'm nothing special.
I smiled sadly at that thought.
"You sounded wonderful Sky." Tony said. I smiled and thanked him. He stood there staring at me until I coughed awkwardly, he blushed and ran away. I just laughed at his silly antics.
I looked at my watch and concluded that it was enough practicing for today. I packed everything and walked out of my room, I went towards the kitchen and when I entered I saw baked chocolate chip muffins.
I hungrily took three and ate them on my way out. I walked around until my feet took me towards a small library, by that time I had already finished the muffins. I entered and went directly to the fiction aisle.
When I got there I saw the pair of twins I hated the most besides Jake and Ed. Sophia and Ludwika, are exactly the same as Jake and Ed but in female bodies. I think they are at least a little smarter than the other two.
I sharply turned around when I heard Sophia call out my name. I flinched and oh so slowly turned to look at her. Sophia and Ludwika both were giving me sneers when I looked at them.
"Why would they let a mutt inside the library" Sophia asked with a condensing voice. I flinched and shrunken into myself.
"I don't know, should we ask the librarian if she should be here" said Ludwika. I gasped in horror when she said that. They know that in most places the owners/workers won't let me inside their place.
Even when they knew I was the daughter of their alpha, that didn't stop them from discriminating me. The librarian, Lucy Heart, was one of the people that were mean to me. She sounded and looked like a sweetheart at first glance but when she opens her mouth only evilness comes out.
I know from experience because I used to come here every single day and stayed reading for hours on end. That was before I was supposed to have shifted with everyone of my age. When that didn't happen she slowly changed.
It wasn't noticeable at first, she wouldn't give me sweets like she used to. When pack members started to sometimes throw rotten tomatoes at me she would be among them. She even helped Jake and Ed to kidnap me the first time.
I never looked at her the same way when that happened. I was scarred for life and the next day she acted like nothing had happened. She didn't show any sign of guilt when she saw me with bruises, she actually looked furious that I was alive in the first place.
I snapped back to the present when I heard Lucy's voice. I started to shake and whimper when I heard her voice get closer. It was like slow motion when I saw her come into my view. At first she looked happy but when she saw me her face contorted into fury.
She came at me like a bull and grabbed a chunk of my hair. I yelped and gave a cry of pain. If she had heard me she didn't show it or she didn't care. I'm betting on the latter because she started pulling harder and more harshly.
I started to cry but her hand didn't let up. She only let go when I was outside her library. The next words she said broke what little hope I had that she would go back to the woman I looked up to and hoped to be like. She gave the last push to push me over the edge.
"I don't want to see, hear, or even smell you near my library again. Because if I do, I'll be the one to inflict and cause more damage than what you have now." She said with so much anger in her voice. "Am I clear?"
When I didn't say anything she repeated the words again. I didn't say anything again so she kept repeating it until she had enough. She grabbed me from the arms and shook me hard enough that I felt I was going to vomit the muffins.
"AM I CLEAR!" She yelled at me in the face, spit flying everywhere. With tears and her spit in my eyes I only gave a feeble nod, she gave me a satisfied nod in return and with that she let go of my arms.
She turned around and starting walking towards the library door. Without looking back once she entered her library and closed the door on my face. It felt like she closed the door on being a part of my life.
I felt so alone. I hope my parents come back soon. I don't think I'll be able to withstand a week without them here.
