And all of a sudden, Morpheous retracted his hands upon hearing Dr. Van's question.
"I was just worried… My bad. It just slipped out of my tongue." But his eyes were still fixated on Caroline.
"She is fine and needs to rest a bit. Benjamin will be back soon. So you need not worry." Dr. Van stood up and spoke. His voice was unusually curt, and his stance looked as if he wanted to block Morpheous.
"I see… In that case, I will take my leave." And saying that, Morpheous walked out of the door, and Caroline couldn't even stop him, even though she wanted to.
And as soon as he walked out of the door, Dr. Van restlessly looked at her and said, "Just stay a bit cautious, Caroline. He seems a bit off to me."
"Who are you talking about?"
"Morpheous!"
"What?" Caroline couldn't believe his words.
"I mean, he is your family friend and all. That's all fine. But there is something weird with him…"
