Caroline was feeling bold all of a sudden.
She had no idea from where she was able to get so much courage. Maybe it was because it was a different city, or he was looking at her differently.
Pulling her towel down, she waited for him to embrace her tight and tie the knot. But instead, he stood there, doing nothing.
"Are you going to put a knot?" She asked and watched him from the corner of her eyes.
There was just an inch of gap between them, but it felt like miles to her. His breath was hot and rapid, and she could feel it warming up her wet skin. But she could read the weird hesitation within him.
So pulling the belt from his hand, she tied the robe herself and turned back towards him. His eyes were lowered, and his demeanor was completely different.
"Morpheous?"
"Uh...huh…" His voice was barely audible.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing!" He muttered, but the way he was staring at the floor didn't go unnoticed by her.
