Slipping into a comfortable pajama and a loose t-shirt, Caroline walked towards the dining room and found both Morpheous and Benjamin seated next to each other.
She had no guts to meet his eyes, so lowering her gaze, she silently walked towards the chair next to her grandfather and sat. But even with her eyes lowered, she could sense that he looked at her for a fleeting moment.
"Eat a lot of red beans, ok. Good for healing your bones!" Benjamin said and heaped a bowl with two ladles of sautéd beans. "You eat some as well, Morpheous!" and saying that he was about to heap his plate when he pulled his plate away.
"No, errm … This plate is for Caroline."
Hearing his words, she looked up and saw that he had sliced chicken breast into pieces on that plate. Cutting the last slice, he passed the plate towards her.
"That's so considerate of you, Morpheous. Even I didn't think of that." Benjamin exclaimed. "Isn't that thoughtful of him, Carol?"
"Very."
