She could feel the air inside her lungs freeze for a moment.
'What did that even mean? Did he write her name because he was thinking about her, or she was a part of his plan all along?'
Her fingers traced the alphabets for a moment, and in the next, she shut the diary close and left the room as soon as she could. She had to figure out what was he after. Parents kicking him out of the house, Chinese medicine… all that was now sounding like a made-up crap in her head. She felt like a fool falling for his sob story.
'How gullible are you, Caroline?'
She cursed herself and walked towards the nearby washroom. Getting inside, she pulled a couple of tissue papers and soaked them under running water. She badly needed to cool herself and think of a plan to figure out who he really was.
But as she wiped her face, Dr. Leslie came in and greeted her.
