Rui Yewan removed the rest of the chains and contemplated moving to the captain's cabin to hide and once his father reaches the bottom of the stairs coming from the quarterdeck he would take the opportunity to grab Rui Li.
Overwhelmed with anxiety his palms became clammy with his chest rising and falling fast. Calming his breathing as he leaned against the wall he said to Xiao Yùnqì, "We, we need to rush over to the ne-next cabin. Can you manage?"
Xiao Yùnqì stopped peeking outside and glanced over in Rui Yewan's direction as he nodded his head. Outside Zhang Li was still causing a scene supposedly to distract the guards' attention which was beneficial to them.
With his back against the wall, he tilted his head slightly and scanned the main deck observing each and every guard. The moment all of them turned their attention to Zhang Li, Rui Yewan whispered, "Now," before he left Ji Yao's cabin and quietly opened the captain's cabin.
