I am sitting in the diner trying to get some peace but Nicola my long-lost friend or whatever you would call a friend that occasionally is your friend decided to come and ask me if I want to go to the reunion. I have no desire to go but when I look into her eyes I can see that she is practically begging me.
"Please, let me make it up to you somehow?"
I really do not want to go but I guess I have nothing else to do and if she is so adamant about making me feel better then she would probably be by my side the entire night. I might be foolish in thinking that it could be a great night but I guess the small number of times that I had with her in school was enough to want to take the weight off her shoulders.
"Okay, I will go…but only for an hour"
She jumps up from her chair and runs around to give me a hug while saying.
"I promise you will not regret it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
