Chapter 6 - MY HUSBAND HITS ME

When sexist abuses know no limits, they hurt women, even kill them; just for sheer pleasure and because they want to vent about the problems they have dragged on since childhood, they take it out on women, for being more defenseless than those beasts.

There are also types of men who believe that hitting, mistreating, humiliating and raping women is normal, when it is not like that and worst of all is that this evil goes from man to man; until, a normal habit is created among the beasts.

There is a wise saying that says: "Women are not touched with the rose petal"

But, these beasts, they forget that part, as they forget that their mothers are women.

The following story is the typical case in which these macho beasts believe that we women are nothing more than their servants and that we are good for nothing more than that.

The patriarch, whose name is Juan Bautista Perdomo Delgado, is the owner of a multinational company and owner of the stock market. On the other hand, his entire family; including his grandparents, uncles and cousins, are lawyers and specialized in mistreatment of women.

Money that comes in, money that he gives to churches, charities and hospitals; so that, they help those most in need.

He is the type of person who likes to help others and always gives everything he has so that they never lack for anything.

His mother, Micaela Alvarado Xiques, is the type of person who always gives more money to the needy and cares so that they always have a home to be in.

Like her husband, Juan Bautista Perdomo Delgado, they always donate a good part of their respective money, to give to those most in need, to churches and hospitals.

Fruit of an immense love, they had four children who are: Juan Bautista, Dionisio, Umberto and Susana.

Juan Bautista is the type of man who is attentive to all people and is always aware that none of them lacks anything.

Juan Bautista is the type of man who dislikes hypocrisy and hypocritical people.

Juan Bautista, like his father, is the owner of a multinational company and owner of the stock market.

Because they wanted to expand both businesses, they decided that it is time to open two branches in Toronto - Canada.

Shortly after Juan Bautista was working there, he met his wife, who is Canadian, and they got married.

Sometime later, they had six children and Juan Bautista decided that it is better to stay and live there; because of his family and the wonderful opportunities Toronto has to offer.

Every two years, they go to Venezuela, to visit his parents and his entire family and when they cannot go to visit them, they call them on the phone to find out how they are.

Dionisio, the second of the brothers, owns a multinational company and a language school.

Dionisio is the type of man who has always liked to help others; regardless of their social status.

Dionisio is the type of man who, the family will always do first in everything.

Dionisio is the type of man who, has always been guided by his feelings and his instincts.

Due to the internal problems that Venezuela has, Dionisio decided that it is better to open their businesses in Australia where there are all kinds of opportunities and they are very high.

There, Dionisio met his future wife, they married and have six children.

Dionisio, like Juan Bautista, every two years, they go to Venezuela, to visit their parents and all their family and when they cannot go to visit them, they call them by phone, to find out how they are.

And the same happened with Umberto and Susana, who also plan to live outside of Venezuela.

Umberto, is the third of the children and he is a lawyer. His specialty is defending women who suffered from mistreatment by their respective partners.

Umberto has his own law firm and all his friends work in the same firm as him.

In one of the trips that Umberto made with his friends, they went to New York - United States. In New York, Umberto meets the woman who will become his wife.

She convinces him to accept to live in New York, together with her and together, they will open the firm there because she is also a lawyer and her specialty is mistreatment of women like Umberto.

Umberto accepts and returns to Venezuela to talk with his parents about his decision to go live in New York. At first, her parents disagreed but, little by little, they realized that they could not keep him with them any longer.

They said goodbye to Umberto, wishing him good luck in his stage of life that will begin in the United States.

Soon, Umberto marries the woman he met, and they have five children. Susana Perdomo Alvarado, is the last of the brothers who have yet to choose a country to study and work in.

Susana Perdomo Alvarado is the type of woman who loves life, her family and friends. Susana Perdomo Alvarado is the type of woman who blindly trusts people; no matter if they are good or bad.

Susana Perdomo Alvarado is the type of woman who, the life of animals, is the most important thing than being in love. She is Venezuelan and comes from a close and loving family. On the other hand, she is the type of person who, gives her all, without receiving or expecting anything in return.

Susana Perdomo Alvarado has seven friends who are: María Teresa Bracho, Leonora Zubillán, Luisa Herrera, Marco Alcántara, Roque Valero, Cristóbal Serrano and Fernando Noguera. The eight friends are the types of friends who would do whatever they could for their respective families and for themselves.

The eight friends are the types of friends who, family love is more important than being in love. The eight friends are the types of friends who put friendship above anyone and any situation.

The eight friends are the types of people who, friendship is much more important than love. The eight friends had applied for a scholarship to study Foreign Trade in Argentina and were immediately accepted. Each of them speaks with their respective families about it.

At first, they were upset because they did all that, without consulting anyone but, little by little, they got the idea of seeing them far away.

When it was time to go to Argentina, the family of eight friends were with them, helping them in everything they needed until the moment they had to leave.

The moment they arrived in Argentina, the first thing they did is directly to the house that they rented online. Upon arriving at the place, they saw that the house is really beautiful and that they did not have to worry about anything because it was ready to be inhabited.

After settling in, they immediately went to the University of Buenos Aires, to see what it was like and to pick up the class schedule. Since they had arrived a week before starting college, they had that time to have fun and settle in. What they saw up to that moment, they liked Argentina; although, they did not socialize much with the Argentines.

The house they had rented is a block away from the university, which seemed incredible to them because they did not have to be looking at which car to take to get to the university.

In the first year of university, the eight friends met Federico Donato and his friends. Federico Donato is Argentine and has Italian descent. Federico Donato is the type of man who, being Argentine - Italian, can denigrate women, as he does.

Federico Donato is the type of man who likes to humiliate women in all possible ways. Federico Donato is the type of man who enjoys beating and humiliating his mother.

Federico Donato is the type of man who, hits his aunts, with the first thing he sees and has close at that moment. Federico Donato is the type of man who likes to be the center of everyone's attention.

Federico Donato is the type of man who comes from a well-built home but, without any kind of values; on the other side, Federico Donato is the type of man who does not like to be nice to women. Finally, Federico Donato is the type of man who uses women as if they were a hobby.

Federico Donato is the type of man who believes himself superior only because of Italian descent. Federico Donato is the type of man who has the mentality that Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay are the only Anglo-Saxon - Latin countries that serve and that the rest of the Latin countries do not serve.

Federico Donato is the type of man who, thinks that Latinos who are neither Argentine nor Uruguayan; far from it, Paraguayans, they are useless. Federico Donato is the type of man who thinks that women only serve to serve them.

Federico's friends are the types of people who, because they have Argentine-Italian descent, can denigrate everyone.

Federico's friends are the types of people who, without such offspring, are worthless.

Federico's friends are the types of people who, they look down on everyone's shoulders.

Federico's friends are the types of people who dislike going by bus and taxi.

Federico's friends are the types of people who have to eat with gold cutlery and have to be super sanitized.

Federico's friends are the types of people who buy all their clothes in Italy.

Federico's friends are the types of people who think that their countries, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, are the only Latin countries that are worth it and the other countries, for them, are worth nothing.

Federico's friends are the types of people who, people who do not live in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Italy, do not know anything about etiquette.

Federico's friends are the types of people who, the people who do not live in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Italy, do not have a brain.

When Susana and Federico met, they were physically attracted but they did not have time to meet because the two were with their respective friends.

During the course of the university and thanks to the group work they had to do, they had the opportunity to get to know each other a little better.

When Susana began to treat him, she had a clear idea and from the way she spoke about him, that he is arrogant, petulant and that he believes too much; but, little by little, that idea was changing, for the better.

Or that's how Susana wanted to think because she always tried to see the good side of people; although, it was impossible to see.

On the other hand, Federico and his friends decided that, if they wanted to fulfill Federico's desire to trick her into falling into their nets and get everything he could out of her, they had to pretend something they are not.

Therefore, if Federico wanted his plans to go perfectly, he had to pretend and do everything so that his family begins to pretend and pretend something that they are not.

The Donato family are the types of family who, being Argentine - Italian, can denigrate women, as they do.

The Donato family are the types of family who love to humiliate others who are not part of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Italy.

The Donato family are the types of family who, who believe themselves number one in everything and everyone else, are far below them.

Little by little, Susana and Federico became friends. Both Susana and Federico did the impossible so that their friends get along.

They did know perfectly well that their respective friends not only didn't get along; but also, whenever they could, they ended their neighborhoods in street fights.

As all of them saw each other all the time, in all the places and all the times possible, they began to get along; until, they all become best friends.

Despite getting along, María Teresa and Cristóbal did not feel Federico and his sincere and honest friends and they knew that they were hiding something that they did not want anyone to know.

When they had the opportunity to tell Susana, they took her to a lonely place, so that no one could hear them. In that place, María Teresa and Cristóbal, told them details, the reasons why they mistrusted them.

When they finished telling everything to Susana, she did not believe them and they had a strong altercation that ended up driving them away.

To avoid more problems in the future, both María Teresa and Cristóbal knew that they had to get away from them and from that toxic environment, which has been created with the closeness of Federico and his friends.

María Teresa applied to study in Croatia and Cristóbal applied to study in Brazil and the scholarship of the two was accepted. María Teresa and Cristóbal, they told the rest of their friends, the decision they had made to go to study far away.

The two had brought everyone together, except Susana because they did not want her to be there with Federico and his friends.

The friends who were present at that moment were very sad about the decision that the two of them had made, without talking about it first but they knew that nothing and no one would make them change their minds.

"They will tell Susana all this when, we are no longer here and we go fighting with her and hating those idiots," said Cristóbal, annoyed just remembering that moment with Susana and the fight they both had with her because she decided to defend them.

"Be very careful of those because they are not what they say they are," Maria Teresa ended up saying.

"And they will tell Susana about this, two weeks after we left; Thus, he will not have the opportunity to speak with us," Cristóbal said again.

They had an incredible day and they were together; until, they had to go to the countries they had chosen. Two weeks after María Teresa and Cristóbal made the decision not to be in Argentina anymore, Leonora, Luisa, Marco, Roque and Fernando decided that the time had come to tell Susana everything, about María Teresa and Cristóbal.

They had to wait for the moment when Susana was alone to talk about it with her. At the precise moment they saw Susana alone, they took her and took her to a secluded place, so as not to be interrupted by anyone.

Without wasting time, they told Susana everything that had happened with María Teresa and Cristóbal and the reasons they had for not being there anymore.

After hearing Susana, the truth about why her two friends are no longer there, in Argentina, she didn't know what to say or feel about it.

All he did was cry for the departure of two of his best friends. Susana, she saw each one of them, as if they were her brothers, her best friends, her confidants and now that two of her friends are not there, she feels that she is incomplete.

It didn't take her long to recover because she had Federico who helped her continue her life as if nothing had happened.

The friendship relationship that Susana and Federico had maintained until now, was becoming stronger and stronger that, that attraction that they had felt before getting to know each other better, returned to them. They both knew that they had to introduce them to their own families in their lives and that they begin to see them as more than friends.

Federico had to do something because he knew that this is his moment to make Susana choose him as her husband; so, he had to make sure that things had to go as he had planned.

Federico had told his family that the time had come for each one of them to perform, which is to pretend in front of Susana, that they are good people and that they are good to everyone; especially with foreigners, when in fact they are not.

The entire Donato family and their friends agreed with everything and had said that they were going to pretend the best they could, so that Susana could fall into Federico's nets. Federico was really happy because he didn't want anything or anyone to spoil his plans.

On the other hand, Susana who, returned to Venezuela, was talking with her family and friends about how wonderful Federico is and how much he loves Argentina.

Susana's family and her friends were happy to listen to Susana and to find out that she was happy in Argentina and that she had found a good man like Federico. With everything Susana was telling them about Federico, Susana's family and her friends, they were curious to meet him.

The Perdomo Alvarado family and their friends made reservations for a hotel that had been recommended to them and bought the plane tickets. Once they had everything, they just relaxed and waited until the day came to go to Argentina.

They had no problem during the flight and arrived at the hotel without any problem. That same day, Susana told Federico to go to the hotel, to meet her family and friends; immediately, they all got along well and Federico stayed late into the night, chatting with them.

That Saturday, Federico took Susana to her parents' house so that she could meet their entire family. The poor thing, went innocently to the house of Federico's parents, without knowing the truth and what really, they; including Federico, they had plotted against her.

Susana left the house, thinking that Federico's family and his friends had liked her, when they did not, everything was coldly planned by them. A week later, Federico had asked Susana to be in love and she accepted.

Everyone was happy after hearing this wonderful news and Susana's friends were happy for their friend. But the celebration would not last long because a much worse problem was looming.

Little by little, Susana's friends began to see things about Federico, his family, and his friends that they did not like at all. For the first time, Susana's friends saw what they really were like and could realize how false they all are and without exception.

One of Federico's friends had approached them and told them that Federico was married and that he beat his wife to death and that his late wife's family has custody of their children; because of what he did and with the support of his family.

Another of Federico's friends had told them that, when Federico was young, along with his family, they had killed all the police chiefs who were in command at that time, along with his entire family. Susana's friends were in shock after hearing these terrible stories about Federico and his family. Therefore, they decided to open their friend's eyes, before it is too late.

As much as they had explained everything they had learned about him and his family, Susana did not believe them and they had a strong altercation that, they decided that they no longer had to endure any more hypocrisy from them; so, they decided to follow in the footsteps of their friends María Teresa and Cristóbal.

Leonora Zubillán applied to study in Ukraine, Luisa had applied to go to study in Czechoslovakia, Marco had applied to study in France, Roque for Ukraine, and Fernando for Spain. Like their friends, they managed to apply the scholarship and successfully and they were resentful with Susana for not believing them.

They left without leaving notes and without saying goodbye to Susana. They decided that there was no point in continuing to endure this situation. At the time when Susana was really depressed because her friends decided to study far away, Federico, his family and his friends were with her, providing support and comfort.

Over the weeks, they managed to make Susana do the same thing as before and they also made her smile again. The following year, Susana and Federico were planning their wedding, along with their relatives.

Both the wedding and the ceremony were simple but emotional and Susana's relatives and Susana's friends and all her family, they did not stop crying, of the happiness they felt when they saw that Susana married a good man.

At the beginning of the morning, Susana and Federico left for their honeymoon; meanwhile, the rest of the guests stayed enjoying the reception and the good music they had chosen. Federico, as a good descendant of Italians that he is, had chosen Rome to spend his honeymoon.

In the beginning, everything was fine until the problems appeared. One of Federico's ex-lovers, whose name is Luisana Santoro, who is Argentine, was in Rome on vacation.

When Federico and Luisana saw each other again, after several years of being away, they were surprised to see how much they have changed. As Federico was looking closely at Luisana, he completely forgot that he was married to Susana.

Every day, Federico left exceedingly early and arrived at the hotel room where they were staying, at dawn. One day, Federico had come to the hotel room, with his shirt, stained with lipstick.

While Susana was putting on Federico's clothes, she sees that shirt and decides to claim him.

"Who is that? I demand that you tell me", asked Susana, shouting and unable to contain the courage she had when she saw how cynical Federico is.

Federico couldn't take it any longer and gives her a good blow to the face that manages to knock her to the ground.

"You are nobody to be demanding or demanding me," snapped Federico.

"! Cynical! I am your wife," Susana shouted as she got up from the floor with difficulty.

As soon as he did it, he was preparing to strike back at Federico; but he guessed what Susana was going to do and hit her harder, knocking her unconscious on the floor.

"This one passes you for an idiot!" Federico shouted, as he took some of his things; between them, her clothes and left.

Several hours passed since that happened that, little by little, Susana began to regain consciousness. When she managed to do it, now she had to get up and that cost her even more because, she was terribly hurt.

Once he managed to get up, he went to the bathroom, to see himself in the mirror, if he had any scars. As soon as he looked in the mirror, he managed to see that he had blood in his mouth, he had a bruise on his face and in various parts of his body; finally, she felt dizzy, and it is because of the blows she received.

The painting in general, for Susana, was as if it had been taken from a horror movie. He could not take it anymore and cried nonstop, lying on the floor and not in the mood to stand.

In that moment, he remembered all the warnings from his friends about Federico, his family, and his friends. How Susana wanted to go back in time and have believed more in her friends; but that could no longer be and now, he had to face the consequences of his decisions.

But he could not go back in time and he had to continue living; Besides, he knew that he had to do something, to confront Federico, who no longer knew what to think of him. What I could do at that time is, do everything possible to cover those bruises; so that, no one would ask him how or who did it.

No matter how much foundation she used, blush; among, other makeup, they were not enough to cover those bruises that were becoming more noticeable.

She had no choice but to be heavily made up and she did, knowing she would end up looking like a clown. On the other hand, Susana knew that, when she left the room, everyone would see her strange and maybe ask her why she is wearing so much makeup.

So it was. As soon as Susana left the room; immediately, the people who were close to her at that moment began to wonder what happened to her? Why is she so made up?

Susana had no choice but to endure people's stares, criticism, and unanswered questions about herself. And all of that was happening for two weeks; weeks of which, Susana did not see Federico at any time.

At that time, Susana did not know what to do: whether to continue in the honeymoon farce or go directly to Venezuela and from there, request a divorce from Federico.

While I was deciding, Federico appears, with a regretful face, in his right hand, you could see a beautiful bouquet of red flowers and in his left hand, a box of chocolates in the shape of a heart.

"Please forgive me Susy. I don't know what happened to me, but it won't happen again, I promise you," he said as he handed her the bouquet of flowers and the box of chocolates.

Susana felt her heart soften when she saw Federico truly repentant; so once again she followed his heart and forgave him. Federico had told Susana that, to make up for the time lost due to fights, they should extend the honeymoon and after talking about it, Susana agreed.

What was left of the honeymoon, nothing happened and the two of them were able to enjoy the honeymoon. A month had passed, since they arrived from their honeymoon, without fights and without misunderstanding that, Susana decided to forget what happened on the honeymoon.

But trouble comes without warning and this time, it would be worse than the fight they had on their honeymoon. Susana was ironing clothes when Federico arrived. But Federico was drunk and when he saw Susana ironing the clothes, he told her that he wanted to sleep with her.

Susana, who felt the smell of drink in Federico, said no; then, Federico, full of courage, takes the iron that was still hot and with that, he hits Susana and after that he leaves, leaving Susana with her face marked by the iron and crying in pain.

Susana cried for hours and could not control herself. He did not know what to do other than stay in the house crying non-stop.

Susana could not take it anymore and told her in-laws what happened. What Susana didn't know is that they agreed with Federico on everything.

As is customary, the Donato family did not support Susana and threw her out of the house, not without telling her that all this was happening to her for being an idiot.

Susana felt denigrated, humiliated, unprotected and completely alone, faced with the cruelty of Federico and his family who did not know what to do. The only thing Susana could do is return home and continue crying.

But when she got to the house, Federico was waiting for her, who already knew that Susana told his family everything. As soon as Susana entered the house, Federico takes her and begins to beat her brutally and savagely.

While all that was happening, Susana did not stop screaming, asking to be saved and running around the house so that he does not hit her.

Every attempt that Susana made to run away from him was in vain and in the depth of her heart, Susana felt that the neighbors agreed with Federico.

Every time Susana ran to get rid of him, Federico caught up with her and hit her harder than before.

Susana could no longer handle this and went directly to Federico's office, who had a gun stored in one of the drawers; so, Susana took the gun and shot Federico, directly in the heart.

Neighbors who, had been listening to everything, notified the police. As soon as the police arrived, they took Susana to jail and the forensics arrived a few minutes later and before the police left, taking Susana detained, they told the police that Federico was dead.

The first thing the police could do is take Susana to jail, to make a statement about what happened and leave her locked up. After that, the police went to the Donato family home to tell them that their son, Federico, was dead.

The Donato family cried non-stop for the loss and when they found out that Susana was the one who killed him, they were filled with anger. The Donato family did everything to start the trial against Susana as soon as possible.

At the trial, both families were at odds plus their friends. The judge and jury who were listening to what happened, reached a unanimous verdict and declared Susana, innocent of all guilt.

Susana's family and friends were happy about the verdict; instead, the Donato family and Federico's friends were upset by the verdict. The Donato family and Federico's friends went directly to Susana, her family and her friends and began to beat them.

The fight was so strong that the police had to intervene again to separate them. Since the judge and jury had not left and saw everything, the judge gave the order to imprison the Donato family and his friends.

In the trial that was held against them, both the judge and the jury found them guilty and gave them six years in jail and without bail.

Susana returned to Venezuela with her family and friends and apologized to her friends for having mistrusted them. They forgave her and started a new life, away from them.

The healing and healing process that Susana had to go through and face lasted more than ten years and she still cannot fully recover.

Because of what she lived with Federico, Susana never married again because she stopped trusting men and raised her children, without a husband.
