Behind the doors, there was an expansive room lit by floating orbs of energy and rat-sized firefly beasts, not too dim nor too bright.
The walls were covered by vines and leaves as if the room was encaged under the roots of numerous trees.
In the middle of the room, there was a platform where three pedestals stood erect.
Auric lights flicker from below them, lighting the items placed on them.
On the left side is a wooden cane that emits a greenish light, physically, there's no evident difference from a twisted root but the aura of it was compressed to the point that it was already visible.
The item on the right side is a blue orb that was pulsing like the waves of the ocean, one can feel that this orb is alive, it has a glossy look on it and it's a crystalline blue color that imitated the color of the clear ocean.
The item on the center is a seed, nothing unordinary can be seen from it besides a small sprout on its tip.
A blast of wave appeared as the voice that is calling the three got louder and louder as they slowly stepped inside the room. When they reached the platform, they immediately head towards the pedestal where the calling originates, the cane was calling for Archie, the orb was calling for Kyle, and the seed was calling for Luis. They gently touched the items on them as if it was the most precious thing they had received so far.
They are holding the items in their hands as they exited the temple. As soon as they stepped out of the temple, it slowly sunk beneath the ground.
"Klygor, why does the temple sink?" Archie asked confused.
"Because it has served its purpose." Klygor simply replied as he looked towards the three who were holding three things.
"Did you know what are the items you got inside?" Klygor asked as he looked intently towards the three.
The three only shrugged signifying that they had no idea.
"Those three are the Treasures of Wood. The cane is called the Cane of the Sage, it was once used by Hermania the Goddess of Nature, her Godly powers were still stored inside, no one has ever got this power out. The orb is an egg of some creature that even I don't know, it was entrusted to me by Hydros before he went into the First War. Lastly, the seed is of an unknown origin, no one knows where it came from but it is giving life to this forest, remember how the trees grow at a visible speed? That seed is doing that thing." Klygor explained.
"Wait, does that mean..." Luis didn't finish his sentence because he felt sad thinking about what might happen to this place.
Klygor noticed this expression as a smile emerged on his face.
"I can tell how this young man will extract the power of the Goddess inside the cane, the orb will be this young man's responsibility to take care of it, and I don't know what to do with the seed so I guess you need to discover it yourself," Klygor explained as he pointed towards the three one by one.
"I just noticed something, Luis, you forgot to put the barrier to me when we got outside but I haven't felt that draining energy anymore?" Kyle spoke then observed himself.
"Because that egg is protecting you, so better take care of it as it takes care of you, okay?" Klygor answered.
The man invited Archie away as the other two took a rest.
"First, you need to hold the cane tightly and then try to channel your energy inside it," Klygor instructed as Archie did exactly what he was told to do.
The young man felt that there was strong energy compressed inside the cane. "Have you seen the energy? Now, try to get that energy out of the cane towards your body." Klygor explained and Archie tried what he was told to do but a minute later, he frowned.
"I can't get the energy out? Why?" Archie asked while trying to get the energy out but he didn't succeed.
"I guess you are not the fated person the cane is looking for." Klygor sighed as he stood up and walked back towards the other two when...
"Wait! I think I know how to do this now!" Archie smiled and do what he discovered. Instead of getting the energy out, he poured his energy in.
The energy inside the cane mixed with Archie's energy and the young man kept on putting his energy inside.
"Are you out of your mind? Stop it! You'll die once your energy ran out!" Klygor exclaimed as he tried to stop Archie but he was already too late because the last drop of Archie's energy was already drawn out of him and into the cane. "Damn! How should I explain this thing to those two! Reckless kid!" Klygor was in a dilemma when he witnessed what happened.
Inside the cane, the compressed energy slowly merged with Archie's energy, it danced and twirled inside the cane as it got stronger and stronger and the energy finally broke out of the cane together with Archie's energy. The energies rushed towards the body of the young man who was lying flatly on the ground as he brightly glowed and a minute later, a beam of green light came out of the young man.
Luis and Kyle saw this phenomenon and immediately rushed towards the source. They saw Archie floating from the ground as his eyes were glowing with a bright green color. His aura became dense as it became visible.
"My chosen child, please bear this power I bestowed upon you to help save us from this impending doom we are facing. I will wait for your arrival, for now, take my Legacy and use it as your own." A tender voice of a woman rang out inside the forest as Klygor has this teary expression on his face.
"Mother..." He muttered as a tear escaped from his eyes. The beam died down and Archie finally landed on the ground as he exhaled deeply.
"What did you get Archie?" Kyle asked.
"Goddess Hermania bestowed me the Legacy of Nature's Song!" Archie exclaimed as he smiled widely.
"You got a Legacy? Damn, you're so lucky!" Kyle exclaimed as he patted the back of Archie.
"I got a Legacy but you got one of Hydros's pet." Archie commended back.
"Now, now! You need to get out of this forest now young men! There are some things that you need to settle up above!" Klygor spoke as he sliced the air beside him and a rift opened.
"Enter this and you will be transported back to the surface." Klygor smiled.
" What will happen to this place? Will you be alright?" Luis worriedly asked. "Don't worry young man, nothing's going to happen to me or this place!" Klygor assured.
The three entered the rift and in a second they appeared at the place where they discovered the forest.
Luna emerged from Luis's collar, she was there the whole time this trip happened. "I wish we meet that dragon again someday!" Luis whispered.
"Yeah, me too!" Archie agreed. The three head back towards the Academy.
Meanwhile, inside the Forest of Klygor, a gigantic dragon was flying around the forest absorbing all of the energies as the trees wilted and the light from the rocks on the ceiling dimmed. An hour passed and no signs of life can be detected inside that place, even light can't be seen. Plants were wilted as beasts' corpse was lying all around.
"My duty has been fulfilled mother, I will take my rest now!" Klygor muttered as the dragon coiled on the ground.
The hole collapsed and filled the place which is once a forest that can be seen no more.
The coiled dragon slowly hovered and floated above.
On the surface, the clear place where Luis discovered the entrance towards the forest of Klygor, there was a bump slowly emerging and after some time, trees can be seen growing from that bump at the visible rate and the clearing is nowhere to be seen.
In the future, this place will be well known as Klygor's Grave.
----------
Inside a pitch-black space, a group of silhouettes was standing, facing against each other in a circle.
Suddenly the woman who was in green dress jolted up as a smile emerged from her face.
"What happened Hermania?" The man wearing a brown robe asked.
"Nothing, a child of mine has claimed the Legacy I left for him and another child of mine is finally returning to me." The women responded as a bright green orb suddenly floated in front of the woman. "Thank you for being a good child, Klygor. I'll make sure that I will give you a new life that you deserved!" The woman spoke to the orb as she kissed it and the orb brightened as if it's saying that it was also glad.
"What should we do now? The Minions of Chaos ended Destiny's life, now the essence of the Goddess of Fate can't be seen anywhere, they probably kept it captive to prevent her from resurrecting!" The lady in a bright white dress spoke.
"Remember her last Prophecy? The Child of Fate is going to be awakened or has already awakened so we should ask for its help!" The man on the pitch-black robe spoke.
"The kid is coming soon, we just need to trust Destiny's Promise for now." The man on the brown robe spoke.
"Destiny's Promise?"
