The passed by quickly and Jericho officially became a grade 2 Researching Physician when he successfully analyzed one of the gigantic specimens on that place.
Of course, since this is good news, so the Famiglia held a large celebration to commemorate the day, they invited their mentors and masters, and also their friends in different schools and their families.
The whole lobby was filled with decorations and stuff as people celebrated hard. Laughter spread throughout the Sky Chasers headquarters as people partied and danced through the beat of the music.
They made it big because of the success of their mission and also to treat themselves before going on a risky mission that might cost their lives.
The day passed quickly when everyone's enjoying and when the night came, everyone went home and the headquarters was left alone with the owners.
It was in the middle of the night and everyone was sleeping, a wind blew and a beautiful but eerie song rang throughout the headquarters.
Everyone walked out to see who was singing in the middle of the night. They all met in the lobby to find out who was playing a prank on them.
"Now confess, who was singing earlier?" Julianne asked in an annoyed manner.
"Now, now, just say who was singing and we won't be mad!" Luis calmly spoke and looked at everyone.
They all looked at each other and no one spoke. They just shrugged and was about to go back to bed when the song rang again.
"What the? Seriously? This is not funny!" Achilleas looked annoyed and looked at everyone and discovered that all of them are looking at him but none of them are singing.
They all looked around to find the source of the voice and tried to listen and find where it came from but they can't find it because it felt like the song is coming from everywhere.
"We'll investigate this tomorrow, for now, I think we should camp on the three reinforced rooms on the 2nd floor," Luis suggested and everyone nodded. They went to their rooms to get some sheets, pillows, and blanket and they decided to sleep inside the Alchemy Room since the scent of the herbs are nice and Luis quickly made a scented lamp to make the atmosphere nice and make everyone sleep well.
The night quietly passed and everyone slept well after that incident. The whole team scanned every inch of the headquarters to find the source while Luis and Alyssa went to Vice Dean Theriud to inquire about the instance that happened last night.
"Oh! That's probably the creepy things that the last occupant told me!" Theriud spoke while remembering the happening.
"So, there's this thing that happened to the last occupant? Why didn't you tell Luis?" Alyssa asked.
"Actually, he told me, that's why I chose that place!" Luis smiled at Alyssa.
"Then you chose a haunted place to be the headquarters?" Alyssa asked as her expression changed into spooked.
"You're already old enough and you still believe in ghosts?" Theriud asked in ridicule.
"Alyssa, ghosts aren't real, but Spirit does!" Luis spoke assuredly.
"That's not helping!" Alyssa pinched the young man.
"Okay, okay, we came here to ask for the information you have about that strange occurrence." Luis seriously spoke to Theriud.
"From the comments I received, this occurrence always appeared at night and the same melody is ringing over and over," Theriud explained.
"Then, what could be the cause of this occurrence? Any clue?" Luis asked.
"I don't know? This started a month after the very first occupants left the place." Theriud replied.
"First occupants? What was this place like way back then?" Luis asked.
"Actually, that place was a series of houses, to be exact, there were 12 houses in that place before. The occupants were a mystery because they just disappeared one day together with their houses, and that's the time the building was built." Theriud told them and handed over a few photos.
"Then this is the mystery that we need to solve!" Luis told to Alyssa.
"What? We are finding the spirits of those twelve?" Alyssa exclaimed with cold sweats dripping profusely from her forehead.
"No, we are going to find out what happened to those twelve and probably, we can find the source of that noise!" Luis smiled and tapped the shoulder of the young lady.
Alyssa felt assured as she breathed a heavy breath and colors returned from her face.
"Let's get back and tell them what we discovered!" Luis smiled and they went back to the headquarters together.
As soon as they came back, they all talked about the discoveries that Luis and Alyssa made.
"So we only need to find why these 12 houses disappeared and we might find what is causing this strange noise?" Jay connected.
"Exactly! If we can't find what happened with these houses, we can't find the source of the noise, and we might stay in the Alchemy Room until we find this out!" Alyssa confirmed.
"Then let's find the houses of those scumbags! I need my sleep!" Achilleas stood up and started searching and the others followed him.
The team scattered to find any clue about those houses they inspected any nook and cranny of the headquarters.
The night already came and still, no one found even a speck of dust of a clue about those houses.
"Let's take a rest and find a clue again tomorrow morning!" Alyssa instructed and everyone nodded. Each of them did the same thing they did the first night this thing happened, they brought their blankets, sheets, and pillows.
The next morning, they continued their search and the result was the same as what they got last day, no signs or anything that might lead a clue to find those houses.
"This is helpless! Maybe those houses and the noise aren't connected!" Jericho exclaimed and slumped on the couch in the lobby.
"If we can't find it sooner, we can't finish Lady Ingrid's orders!" Crix helplessly said.
"Guys! Guys! Hurry! Come here!" Cyrius shouted and his voice came from the Training Room.
"What is it Cyrius?" Jay asked when they reached him and he was at the far corner of the Training Room looking at something.
"I think I found it!" Cyrius exclaimed without looking back at them.
"How? We can't see anything strange in the way you're looking at?" Archie exclaimed.
"Yes, you can't see it because only those who have Space Element can see it!" Cyrius explained.
"Then why didn't you found out sooner?" Julianne asked.
"It was smaller than a speck of dust so I can't easily find it!" Cyrius replied without looking at them.
"Can you do it?" Luis asked.
"Just give me a few moments!" Cyrius asked and seriously looked at that corner of the training room.
A few hours later, Cyrius changed his pace as he started drawing something on the ground.
"Those who can read and understand the formation, please help me!" Cyrius suddenly exclaimed.
Jay and Serion looked at each other as they immediately went beside Cyrius.
"Can you detail me how to disarm this formation?" Cyrius asked as he showed the two the thing he saw on the formation.
"A sealing formation! This one is advance!" Serion exclaimed.
"Wait for me! I'll fetch my book of Formations!" Jay told them as he ran out of the room. A couple of minutes later, Jay went back bringing a very thick book.
The three scanned the book and find the same formation on the advance section of the book.
"Here! I found it! Widespread Sealing Array composes of 76 Major Arrays and 239 Minor Arrays. This one is hell of a work to do!" Jay exclaimed.
"No! No! They put this Array to hide something, we only need to decode the seal on the entrance, can you do it?" Alyssa asked.
"34 Minor Arrays and 3 Major Arrays, we need around 3 to 4 hours!" Serion told them and as soon as he said this, his expression quickly changed and became serious.
"Let's get out, for now, guys, let's give them the space they needed to finish their task!" Luis instructed and everyone left except those who came from the School of Production, they stayed to get more knowledge about arrays even though they are Forgers and not Formation Masters.
The other members stayed in the lobby and when 3 and a half hours passed, Archie went up and called all of them.
"Everyone, they deciphered it!" Archie exclaimed and everyone immediately ran down the Training Room.
Inside, they saw a large square area that is glowing bright blue and some sophisticated lines and behind it was a set of the staircase going down.
"So, is everybody ready?" Serion looked at all of them. Everyone nodded and they started descending the staircase.
They've been descending for half an hour and they can't still see the bottom.
"How far can this staircase go?" Julianne asked.
"We don't know, we don't have any choice other than continue descending or go back up!" Alyssa responded.
After a few more minutes of silently descending. Rex spoke.
"Commander Fire Bird, Captain Doctor, an opening can be seen up ahead!" Then Rex pointed towards an opening with flat ground.
"Finally! A flat ground!" Julianne exclaimed.
As they come closer, the song got louder and chaotic. When they exited the passage, they saw a very wide hall and a gigantic door with complicated arrays on it.
"Well I guess this is the end of the line!" Luis exclaimed.
"What's that?"
