"Now, it's your fault for messing with me beast!" Luis grinned as he gathered his energy and channeled it towards his palm.
"Earth Domain: Briar Field!" Luis chanted as briars sprouted from the ground and tangled the Black Demon.
It growled as it struggled to break free.
"Hurry! This won't last much longer!" Luis struggled as he kept summoning vines to keep the Black Demon entangled.
"Aqua Skill: Hydrosphere!" One of the combat student cast and water surged towards the entangled Black Demon. The Black Demon struggled hard as the vines were getting ripped apart and it tried to swim its way out of the sphere but a production student stepped out.
"Glacial Wave: Freezing Point!" The production student chanted as a chilly air permeated the water sphere where the Black Demon was trapped.
The sphere slowly froze as the Black Demon inside struggled. A few moments later, the sphere has completely frozen and the Black Demon stopped moving inside.
"It worked! We don't need to worry anymore!" One of the production students celebrated.
"Everyone be on guard! It's not yet over!" Luis warned and suddenly a cracking sound can be heard as the ice sphere cracked and it revealed the furious Black Demon.
The Black Demon swiped its claw towards the duo who froze it inside the sphere.
"Air Manipulation: Air Blast!" Serion chanted as he blasted a big wave of air to push the two away from their position. He succeeded to push the two but it made the two flew too far.
"Earth Thread: Vine Net!" Luis chanted as vines shoot up between two trees and made a giant net that caught the two flying students.
The Black Demon rampaged as it growled loud which is almost deafening.
"Fire Buff: Speed Boost! Hell Weaponry: Flaming Scythe!" Alyssa dual cast as she was covered in the red aura and a flaming scythe was formed at her hands. She rushed towards the Black Demon and swung her scythe on one of its feet but it didn't even make a scrape on it.
The Black Demon noticed what she did and smacked her with its paw. Alyssa dodged by jumping up high in the sky.
At the same time, Achilleas's skin slowly turned red as it made a steel-like gloss.
"Molten Weapon: Glowing Halberd!" Achilleas chanted as a halberd that looked like it came from the furnace appeared.
"I'll tank this stupid beast and you deal as much damage as possible!" Achilleas rushed towards the beast and hacked the halberd towards the beast.
"Production team, let's start setting up the sealing formation!" Serion shouted as the other two students nodded and started to form a triangle as they planted a steel stake on the ground, they channeled their energy on it and put 20 energy crystals on each stake.
A seal that looked like a pyramid appeared as it trapped the beast inside. The Black Demon pounced around the seal as it kept pounding the seal.
"Luis! Alyssa! The seal won't hold much longer!" Serion shouted when he discovered that one energy crystal was consumed every time the beast hit the seal.
"Use this!" Luis shouted as he threw a pouch with 300 crystals. Serion divided it into 3 and gave the other points 100 each.
"That will only extend our chance, hit it with your best spells!" Luis shouted as the other people in their group started chanting.
"Ice Skill: Glacial Spear!"
"Lightning Strike: Black Lightning!"
"Solid Air: Gale Cutter!"
"Terran Weaponry: Hundred Spires!"
"Hell Weapon: Flaming Spear!"
"Molten Steel: Magma Furnace!"
"Water Skill: Aqua Drill!"
"Puppeteer: Physical Manipulation!"
"Wood Manipulation: Piercing Stakes!"
"Fire Combustion: Simultaneous Explosion!"
The ten people simultaneously chanted as different skills hit the Black Demon. A gigantic icicle appeared above the Black Demon. It tried to dodge but as if it was controlled, its limbs were frozen in place but its head kept on receiving the attacks. A bolt of black lightning instantly charred a patch at the back of the beast. The ground suddenly heats up as it changed into a pool of magma, it charred the paws of the beast as it kept on jumping to lessen the burning pain. Invisible blades kept on slicing the beast as its fur flew in different directions. Sharp rocks and pointed wooden stakes pierced the beast but it only made a few wounds on the belly of the beast. Explosions rang around the beast as the smell of burnt fur permeated the air.
The last attack was made by Alyssa by tossing the flaming spear. It hit the right eye of the beast as it growled loudly that the earth quaked by the vibrations. Blood splashed all over the place as it kept on pounding and hitting the seal.
"The seal won't last much longer!" Serion shouted and a moment later a sound of shattering glass rang and the seal was broken.
The Black Demon entered a berserk state as its mane changed from black into red and its stripes glowed together with its eyes. A red mist escaped its mouth as it spread towards the group.
"Avoid direct contact with the mist!" Luis shouted.
The group retreated away from the mist but Achilleas accidentally made contact with the mist as it touched his arm. The steel-like arm slowly got burnt but because of his steel-like defense, he didn't receive a grave injury.
"Use this!" Luis tossed a case with a cream on it. Achilleas applied it immediately and the burnt spot slowly closed.
"Thanks, dweeb!" Achilleas thanked as he retreated further.
"Our only chance of survival is to lure that beast inside the forest! Hurry!" Luis commanded as he ran inside the forest while the beast is still rampaging. The group met inside the forest.
"We can be safe as long as everyone does their part, okay?" Luis instructed.
"What should we do Luis?" Alyssa asked.
"Are you confident with your accuracy?" Luis asked.
"Of course! I hit its eye like it was a target!" Alyssa exclaimed.
"I need you to come with me. The others scatter as far away as possible from others, and get its attention alternatively!" Luis instructed.
The group nodded as they moved in different directions.
"When I signaled, I need you to throw a spear towards the mouth of the beast, okay?" Luis instructed and Alyssa answered it with a nod.
"Earth Threads: Vine Whips!" Luis chanted as thorny vines emerged from the ground and it continuously hit the burnt paws of the beast.
The beast growled from the pain it continuously felt.
"Now!" Luis throws a pouch in a trajectory where the spear can hit it.
Alyssa threw a flaming spear and it hit the pouch as it dragged the pouch towards the opened mouth of the beast. The spear entered the mouth of the beast together with the pouch.
"We need to distract it for 5 minutes before the medicine acts up! Run!" Luis instructed as they entered inside the forest again.
"Earth Manipulation: Boulder Throw!"
"Fire Skill: Explosive Fireball!"
The two chanted together as the skills hit each other signifying the start of their new plan.
When the beast entered the forest. An icicle flew out of nowhere and hit it on the head. The beast rushed towards the source of the icicle but before it can even run, a Steel Spear flew from the other side and it immediately caught its attention as it faced towards the source of the spear. A tree flew from the other side as it hit the beast at the side of its body.
They toyed with the Black Demon like this until it looked like it was swaggering. The beast became disoriented as it ran around in random directions finding the source of the attacks it received.
"It's acting up! Keep it up, guys!" Luis shouted as he crept closer to the beast.
"Earth Manipulation: Boulder Smash! Earth Manipulation: Earth Spikes!" Luis dual cast. The mage mark on his hands turned from yellow into lime and stopped at the green.
The Black Demon was hit by a large boulder on the head as it swaggered more.
"Earth Manipulation: Mud Slide!" Luis chanted as the ground below the beast turned into mud and he manipulated it towards the opposite side where he summoned the spikes.
The Black Demon tripped and its head landed where the spikes were summoned.
"Terran Weapon: Earth Hammer!" Luis chanted as a large hammer appeared in his hand.
"Air Boost: Wind Trampoline!" Serion cast as a small tornado appeared near the beast. Luis stepped on it and the skill boosted his jump towards the large head of the beast.
"Size Manipulation: Expand!"
"Fire Combustion: Explosion!"
The two combat students chanted as the hammer at Luis's hand expanded and became as big as the head of the beast. The explosion happened at the opposite side of the hammer as it quickly smashed towards the head of the beast and the spikes pierced right through it.
Blood splashed and rained among the group as they gathered at the corpse of the gigantic beast. The king of the Black Smog Forest died at the hands of this group lead by Luis.
They scavenged the gigantic beast.
They got a beast core, a ton of mane, the glowing claws, and the hide of the beast.
"I suggest that we should give the core to Luis since he contributed the most in this battle," Alyssa suggested and the group nodded in agreement.
"Then the other materials should be equally distributed to you guys, the core is enough for me." Luis intently directed towards the team.
They distributed it equally but most of the materials ended up at the hands of the production team since the group requested it to make some accessories and weapons from the materials.
"The mane can be made into danger sensing artifacts as the claws can be made into weapons. Tell me your desired weapons and we'll try to make it according to your desires." Serion said.
"I think it's time to head back to the lake. The aura of the Black Demon didn't dissipate yet so we're still safe." Luis suggested.
