Chapter 1 - The First Demi-god War

The world was shaken as hundreds of Demi-gods fought against each other. Thousands of Saint-level Warriors and Mages fought till the end of their lives.

Cosmos, the absolute mother of all, brought the Child of Fate that was destined to hold the balance of creation and destruction of the world.

Some Gods decided to accept the child and gave the fate of the world to him, but some Gods detested the child that leads to the stand-off of the two Primal Gods.

"Conqueror of Heavens: Astral Strike!" The man in the black robe attacks as the man in the blue robe kept on defending himself.

"Giants of the Water: March of the Thousand Whales!" A thousand images of whales appears as they covered both heaven and earth with the water and surged towards the black-robed man.

"Whatever you do, you can't defeat me! You can struggle as hard as you can but in the end, you will die under my hands!" The man in the black robe laughed as he defends himself from the counter-attack of the blue-robed man.

"Defense of the Skies, Symbol of the Ox: Taurus's Shield!" An image of a bull appears and it turns into a forcefield that covers the black-robed man as it defends him from the surge of the waters and whales.

"Even if I die here, I'll make sure that you are coming with me to hell!" The blue-robed man shouted as he blurted out the spell for his magic.

"Forbidden Magic, Destruction of the Sea: Pearl of the East!" A bright-white orb slowly appears from the palms of the blue-robed man. He rushed towards the black-robed man regardless of the pain and exhaustion that he is currently feeling from the fight that lasted for a very long time between them.

"I won't allow that! Forbidden Magic, Tempest of the Skies: Black Hole!" The black-robed man also rushed towards the blue-robed man.

A loud explosion echoed that can be heard, miles and miles away due to the collision of black and white energy.

The child of fate activates his immature power to stop the destruction of the whole world.

The earth trembles as people became curious about what's going on.

People tried to look for clues on who was involved in the war but they didn't find a single body part nor a drop of blood from where the explosion happened.

No one knows what happened and no one knows about the whereabouts of the child.

King Senicius, the ruler of the Central Continent, marked that day as the end of the first Demi-god war and the start of the Era of the Legacy Holders.

"Demi-god? Grandpa, that's nonsense! I'm not a kid anymore to even believe that fictional story, even the fairies doesn't exist how come Demi-gods be?" Luis unbelievably exclaims when he heard his grandpa's story about the Demi-god war.

"Luis, remember this. Science can't explain everything, it can't even find other Earth-like planets." His grandpa explained to him.

"Whatever! You're losing your sanity again grandpa, I'm leaving!" Luis bade as he walked out of the kitchen leaving his grandpa alone.

"I hope someday you believe me, for you are the only hope of our world, Ignacius Luis Delmont." His grandpa whispered to himself as he continued to finish his breakfast.

It is another normal day at the Imperial Academy where Luis is the only poor student because he is the only scholar of this academy, where only the children of the elite people can enroll. This is a very prestigious school where only the children of celebrities or the children of the richest tycoons can study.

"Well, I only need to get higher scores in this upcoming exam because Daddy promised me that he will buy me a new car if I did great in this exam!" A girl exclaimed excitedly as they walked through the corridor towards their classroom.

"Oh my! Jenny the witch is there, again!" Luis thought as he walked through the corridor while his head was down to avoid the gaze of the girl named Jenny.

"Speaking of... Hey Luis, come here! I have something that I need you to do for me." Jenny shouted, but Luis ignored her and continued to walk.

"Hey! I'm talking to you! How dare you ignore me! Don't you think you're being dauntless now?" Luis continued to ignore the girl.

"If I'm talking, you peasant! Don't you dare face your back against me!" Jenny angrily said.

Luis tried to continue walking but Jenny pulled him which caused him to stop and take a step back.

"What do you want?" Luis asked. "Witch." He added whispering.

Jenny heard his whisper that made her feel furious.

"How dare you whispering something like that, you peasant!" She shouted furiously to the young man.

Luis continued to walk and tried to pass through but, his eyes caught a glimpse of a figure of a well-built body of a guy that looks like he's frequent on gyms, and if compared, his build is double the size of Luis's build because of the bulging muscles of the guy.

"Right on time Josh! Teach this peasant a lesson because he's getting into my nerves!" Jenny said to the guy who just came.

"Is it true you weakling? Want to receive one?" Josh threatened while squeezing his knuckles.

"The witch and the jerk joined forces. They look good together if they are in hell! If only grandpa's story about Demi-gods were true and I'm one of them. I'll blast these two away with my power and let them experience the feeling of flying." Luis thought to himself.

"What's happening here, Mr. Delmont? Why are you with Ms. Vegas and Mr. Anxyr? It's already 2:47, you only have 13 minutes before your class starts! Ms. Vegas, Mr. Anxyr, are you two making trouble again? If ever I find out that you both are doing those stuff again, I'll let you know the experience of being in hell! Now, go back to your classes!" The dean bellowed when he saw that the three students are making some kind of a commotion.

Josh and Jenny walked towards their classroom and Luis planned to follow them but he was stopped by the dean.

"Mr. Delmont, come to my office. You don't need to attend your classes today because I already excused you." The dean said while moving his hand gesturing for Luis to come.

They both walked towards the office silently. The dean at the front while Luis follows.

Luis did not felt nervous about what was going to happen because he knows that he is the most favored student of the dean. The reason for that is because, Luis raised the popularity of the academy in terms of academic achievements like quiz bees, spelling bees, science conventions, and any inter-academic contests, and because of those accomplishments that he was awarded a full scholarship.

When they arrived at the office which smells citrusy and a sofa can be seen placed in front of a glass mini table. There are some potted plants at the corners of the room and a shelf full of books is neatly placed on the wall.

Luis sat at the chair facing the dean who sat at the other end of the desk.

"First, I want you to promise me that you won't get mad, nor hold a grudge against me because of the news I was about to say." The dean nervously said which was felt by Luis that made him nervous too.

He made a big gulp as he gathered his courage to make a promise to the dean.

"I promise that I won't get mad, nor hold a grudge against you," Luis swore while raising his right hand as if he's taking an oath.

"Ignacius Luis Delmont." The dean paused and takes a deep breath which made Luis more nervous as if his heart will burst out of his chest and starts to run away.

"You can't continue to study in this academy anymore."
