This story at first sounded weak, random, and very untraditional with no main bad guy, and their is still never ever going to be. Yes, their will be small duos like Dragons, rogue creatures, sneaky Presidents, Xy and such; but they will be more of hurtles and setbacks instead of clamps. The description I do not do cause this is a dialogue book, but also to show that that is not necessary at all. All you need to know is Ruby fights good, Scarlett not so much, and Jacklyn fights better cause she trains. That will soon change the more Ruby remembers and grows into her old powers. But yeah. You don't need to know their hair color, or if they have contacts; or if Jacklyn shoots like a girl or a guy. Ps, I'll give you a hint. So, if you want more center focused battles, and pity action; then I am not your guy with plot armor. No, if it is clear a main character is going to lose a battle and will need medical aid, then I will have them lose the battle and seek medical aid. Easy problem, easy solution. Does not mean they're weak. Just means they are not mindless robots who can fight with one leg while the other is drooling blood.
