"Ruby, what's up? The Course is downstairs. Although it's occupied right now, I am sure that…."
"I'm not here for them."
"They could really use the motivation. Today is a water chall....."
"I'm here for you."
"Oh.....OH.
Just let me put this Tent Umbrella away first, and then I can properly say hi you.
The trick with this exercise is everybody has to hold onto a side…or an end. Whatever you want to call it. Then they have to bounce the ball up and down in the middle, but….the trick is to wave. You can't all go up at once, nor vice versa because if you accidentally go out of sync then the ball will drop and you're out. Trust the person will flow with you; while the others flow against. Constant up and down is what is needed to keep the ball in the air.
Trust me, it starts complicated but this game is super....I see.
....Take it Rainbow, Stephanie, and Darius are more than just disobedient youngins."
"That would be correct."
*Oof*
"Would you like to talk about it?"
"I just don't have enough hands to hold them all together. One goes one way, the other goes another."
"Why is that for you to worry?"
"Darius and I may not have spilled the beans, but we did provide the Opener."
"Are there a lot of beans spilled?"
"Yes, but at the end of the day they are all our hard earned beans. And now....Seagulls are trying to swoop in and take them."
"Shame on em. They put in no work."
"Exactly."
"Or….."
"Or?"
"You failed to realize that by opening a bean can on an open Picnic would result in the inevitable birds overhead that you did not prepare."
"But I said they were there. My whole plan was knowing that they were."
"But you still failed to weatherproof your food.
You brought your own food, but where was the tent?"
"Tent?
Do you need me to help you build one?"
"That would be nice."
"Then hold out your hands."
"But you put the Umbrella away."
"You told me to.
Today's lesson is all about water. You may not control the air like I....but there is enough water to at least make the ball bounce. I'll show you my lesson for the day.
First, we will start with the Umbrella to visually show people how I want them to bounce the ball. Then.....we will take it away, hold hands....and just get loose. Do the worm all the way up and done, using their minds to focus on the ball, and their arms as the barrier to keep the air trapped inside.
Do you want to try it?"
"But I don't want to trap us inside."
"Ruby, you are looking too much at the big picture. As I'll say to my Kids."
"Parents."
"I call them Kids.
We'll start with small circles, and then we will all join in a group circle.
That was your problem Ruby. You kept pushing people too hard, and you and I both know; you can accidentally push someone too hard and not realize the cliff they're on, until…..*Poof*....they fell away.
Next time…."
"Teachers, what are you doing? You can't..."
"Can't or don't want to? We want to, and will be happy to."
"Let others help.
Okay, Library monkey, can you kick the ball in the middle of the circle?"
*Oooo..…oooooo...aaaaahhh…aaaahhh*
"Everybody concentrate on the ball, and slowly move your arms like a flowing river. Steady now. If one goes too fast then they will be pushing downwards and not up.
Never stop the motion. Just.....keep....pace.
….Perfect."
"Ruby, how is this exercising?"
"Shh…..you won't be able to lift big objects with this, but now you all know why I use a broken toy controller. Would look too weird flailing my arms, but for now....the arms are just a visual aid.
Also, if I tried this with the Kid kids, they would complain that the girls hand next to them has cooties and then would start laughing and ruining the moment."
"Jacklyn!!!!!!"
*Sherrrvoooo...boom…..boom...boom...….boom*
"Course, I thought you all could deal with the distraction a lot easier than them.
Guess I was wrong."
