"So what are everyones plan for the day?"
"Actually, I was thinking that maybe we could look at new arrangements for our future?"
"Arrangements?
We have nine months."
"I know. But…..preorder, you know?"
"You mean window shop?"
"Kain, I am not talking fantasy. This time ntext year will be very different, so the longer we put things off, the worse it will be. I'd raher get some stuff done now, before I…....you know…."
"Before you.....aaaagghhhuuwhhhh."
"Pain starts two weeks after you hear the news, then by the seventh week; lumbs start to form. By the twelfth month, pain goes to the head and I am bedridden most of the day. At that time, leaving only you.
That makes only the first three months to change. And since it takes a month as is to get stuff in and ordered...that leaves two to have it all work out. Only eight weeks for me to help you with anything you…."
"Wooo."
"What?"
"It's true that girls really do plan out everything."
"Well, I mean; it is what we fantasize about."
"Natysh, their is a big difference between a fantasy, and a planned out survival guide so that the moment something happens; it's like you were waiting for it cause you're ready."
"Is that a bad thing? Plans don't always work out, but it's nice to at least have some sort of knowledge instead of going in blind.
I wonder what would happen when we did that. How worse things would be. Running around with our heads cut off, not knowing if it will work out or not. Always doubtful, never certain. But….then you'd miss out."
"I thought plans were a source of confidence that you know whatever you're planning; whoever else plays into that, won't shake. The final step."
"Kain, planning is not the final step. Just the first hop. We're in this together. So now…..let's figure out how to keep it that way.
Don't you agree, Ruby?
Have you ever planned for something, or do you just go in guns blazing; protecting whomever, wherever, whenever."
"Ummm…..actually….I….."
"Ruby, come in. Come in."
"Jauguar, I am kinda in the middle of something here. Can you talk back later? If it's not an emergency then…."
"But it is an emergency."
"Have you been spotted? Did one of the Kids catch you?"
"Ummmm.....yes and no."
"Jaguar, there is no middle ground. They either saw you or they didn't."
"Ruby, who are you talking to?"
"Well, it was more of…."
"Hi, Ruby. Miss me?"
".....Dragonfrog!!!!!!!!!"
"Dragonfrog?"
"Dragonfrog?"
"How the hell is that little wanna be? I thought he....actually...where'd he go to be honest? He just...dissapeared?"
"Not disappeared. Jalapeno taught himself magic, just like Rainbow; but with Jalapeno's extensive knowledge; he had time to grow."
"Jalapeno does magic? Since when?"
"Ruby, I gotta hand it to you. The little trick Jalepeno played on me had me stumped...literally."
"DragonFrog, if I…."
"Woo.. Wooo. I am not going to hurt the Kids. No. No. Me. Quite on the contrary.
In fact, I am both surprised and happy that these two kids put up as strong of a fight with me that they did. I basically had to wressle them to the ground instead of enticing the others.
Tell me again, why did you not train the others?"
"Ummmmmm.."
"They're weak, Ruby. All of them.
You really think a bunch of Wannabe's can protect you from bigger threats? Protect you...…from me?
Nobody can beat fire, Ruby. You of all people should know that by now."
"Natysh."
"Yes?"
"Can I steal Rainbow for the day? I know you need her here, but…."
"It's ok. She has shown Kain how a true man should act."
"But she….
…Thank you. I'll deliver her back, safe and sound. Promise."
