Message: Why wait tomorrow for what you can do today.
(Ps. before you start complaining about how my books are now gearing towards action, adventure, and Rubys side of life instead of Ruby and Darius' friendship; hear me out.
Each book is a day. I have only written two books so far/books 9-10 where they are all one day. 9 takes place during the day, and 10 takes place during the evening/night. Anyways, according to that, Ruby has been alive for ONE week. During that time, she still didn't know about her past and acted like Ruby Eliotra; the towns giftlady. That's why most of the dangers and monsters she faces, she has to have someone else fight her battles. Not that she's dumb and if you read books later on, you'll probably say if she's so powerful, why didn't she crush that Creature all the way back in the Mall? And I saw, woo!! Hold it. Ruby had no idea she had a powerful source hidden inside her. As I said in the previous chapter; she buried her past and moved on. Forgot about everything and wanted to start over. So, for the first week she acts like any other kid would act. Pillow fights, icecream way past your bedtime, admiring everything and anything, and just overall goofing off with the Heartchilds. That all ends when she arrives at her hometown and their, her triggers of her past life start reawakening. Jasmine just helps stir the pot faster :) Ruby knows this and knows her past will come back, but she tells the Heartchilds, whatever happens to me and whatever I've done; I'll be busy cleaning up the past. Can you help remind me of the present? Remind me of this wonderful week I've had with you? Can the Heartchilds help hold Ruby back, or will they have to let her go forever?
