"Darius? If you can hear me, please call….."
"Honey, look."
"Darius!!!"
"Mom, Dad!!"
"Oh, Darius. I thought we lost you. Where….uh...where's Ruby? Wasn't she with you?"
"She was."
"Do you wanna talk? By the look on your face and the bag of clothes you're carrying, I can tell something happened. Did she not like something?"
"Yea, but it wasn't over the clothes."
"Don't worry, son. We'll find her back. The crowds are moving along, so pretty soon, this malls rush hour will be over."
"That's not the problem."
"Excuse me."
"She turned invisible.
I fear she may have gone back and won't want to come here again."
"That bad?"
".....That bad."
"What can we do? We can use the plant, Landon gave you."
"It's at home, and besides…it's not big enough yet. Might be able to wrap around one of my shoes, but not me."
"Well, their has to be something we can do."
"Their is one thing."
"What?"
"Nothing.
Nothing, Hun?"
"Well, their is no way we can get to Sunscare, so we'd be like a Hampster on a wheel. Running in circles all day but getting nowhere by the end.
All we can do is wait for Ruby to come back on her own, but until she does, we have to show how much she means to us and that we're not taking her from her home."
"Dad, technically we are."
'Not if we bring her home here. We'll find the best pet for her, and you and Apple can find the best present."
"But dad, I have no more money? What can I buy?"
"Son, the best things in life don't cost a thing. If it truly comes from your heart then you'll know where to look."
