Chapter 28 - Getting Weapons

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU FOR BEING SO KIND TO ME!

HEY GUYZZ. How are you? Sorry about the late update, but it's finals week and I've been secretly stressing. On top of that, I started a new art project (which I might show you after I finish), binged a season of Voltron, and overall waited for my heart to stop beating so fast over the tests.

Okay, enough of that. Here's the psychological fact of the day: The type of music you listen to affects the way you perceive the world.

Okay, to be honest I've heard that one a lot. I listen to Nightcore, MCR, BTS, some Bendy and The Ink Machine music (don't judge), and sometimes Enhypen if I'm in the mood. Honestly, I think the music I pick is because of my mood. It doesn't really affect the way I see things. If something is beautiful, then I say it's beautiful.

Anyway, I my music doesn't really cloud my judgement of the world or the people in, though it does get me thinking about those subjects. So yeah. What do you guys think?

NOW! ONTO THE STORY:

Captain America P.O.V (First Person)

We followed the kid, Leo, I think his name was, to the forge cabin. Leo was an odd kid. He was basically a Latino elf, but that wasn't the odd part. He happily chatted away with Tony - apparently helping him make modifications to his suit. Tony never let anyone give him ideas, especially because he though he was better than everyone.

Leo, though, kept giving Tony more and more ideas for his suit, and every time Leo said something, Tony's eyes would light up in excitement, and he'd start taking mental notes. It was a look the team and I grew accustomed to, because he got that look every time Thor told him about the technological advancements on Asgard. I didn't get it, honestly, being from WW 2.

Leo stopped at the door of his cabin, grinning. He peeked inside and screamed, "SUNSHINE! CAN YOU BRING A CART OF WEAPONS OUT HERE?!"

I raised an eyebrow at the boy, who just put his fists on his hips and grinned. I sighed and took a look at how Percy and the other counselors were doing. They were fighting on top of Half-Blood Hill. Percy had apparently killed the minotaur because 1) He had moved onto other monsters 2) He had one of it's horns in his hands. They didn't look like they needed help at all, especially with Loki and Thor helping.

"Yo Blonde Boy," Leo called me, the grin still on his face. All the Avengers' eyes were turned to him and girl holding a cart. The girl smiled at us. She had caramel colored hair and warm eyes, and she was holding Leo's hand fondly.

Leo looked at the cart with excitement, "State of the art weapons, but I doubt you'll need anything fancy. Just some upgrades to your originals. Natasha? Here."

Leo took two different types of weapons out. He had dual batons and pistols in his hands. He handed them to Natasha, "Two Ruger Super Redhawk Pistols, made custom here, using the information we got on your personal preference."

Natasha raised an eyebrow, "How did you...?"

Leo rubbed his hands together like an evil genius, "A magician never reveals his secrets. Anyway, the bullets are made made out of Celestial Bronze, but also have Imperial Gold replacements if you want to switch it up when you reload. The Dual Blades are normal, but one is made out of the Celestial Bronze and the other is Imperial Gold. There's buttons on the bottoms to elongate them and turn them into spears."

Natasha nodded and smiled, holstering her pistols and whirling her batons like someone from a parade. Leo turned to Peter next, handing him 10 small vials of golden liquid, "Web fluid with Celestial Bronze mixed in. Wrap a monster in it, and they'll disintegrate."

Tony went next, practically jumping up and down. Leo grinned at him, and handed him tiny missiles, "Put these in your suit. They never miss their mark, and they're-"

"Made out of Celestial Bronze, I know," Tony said, rolling his eyes. They had apparently talked about this weaponry before.

Leo handed Bruce some giant, heavy gloves. He didn't have to explain anything. They were clearly for the big guy to wear. The gloves were painted the same shade as Hulk so they'd blend in. Bruce smiled at Leo and walked back, letting Clint walk forward and take his weapons.

Leo looked especially excited for his weapon, "Every arrow in your original quiver has been replicated. The only differences are that your quiver can never run out of arrows because of a charm, courtesy of the Hecate cabin. Also, Celestial Bronze and Imperial Gold tips. Explains itself."

Leo turned to me and pulled out a shield from the bottom of the cart. It was painted exactly like mine. I took my actual shield and handed it to Leo, exchanging it for the new one with that had a better paint job. I smiled at the little elf - I mean, Leo. I didn't need to know that that it was made out of one of the metals Leo kept mentioning. He nodded to me before looking at everyone.

His smile fell off his face, "Be careful with the weapons. They're not dangerous to mortals. They go right through them, actually. But we need to protect the demigod secret, so never throw these at them. Got it?"

Everyone nodded to him and went to join Percy and the others at the fighting point. Apparently, the fight was over because Percy and the others were sitting on the floor, talking and wiping off blood from their cuts. They were eating ambrosia squares (at least that's what Annabeth said they were).

Jason and Percy were talking and laughing, as if nothing had happened. My throat constricted. I had lost so many people, but so had these kids. They fought wars and were about fight in another. I sighed and walked up to them. Percy glanced at me and grinned, "Hey, Cap! C'mon. We're taking a break before continuing the meeting."

I raised an eyebrow, "We're continuing the meeting?"

Percy nodded grimly, "We leave soon, so it's better we know all angles of the prophecy. I know it's tough, but it's all in a day's work."

I nodded at him, and sat down, looking over the view of camp. We are perched on top of Half-Blood Hill, and it was the afternoon, so everything looked beautiful. There really was no place like this Camp.

'Sup. Sorry about the choppy chapter. I just wanted to explain weapons before we went back the meeting and planned out the prophecy. If you guys have any ideas, just tell me! Any feedback? I'm open to it!

Other than that, I'll see you guys later!
