Chapter 6 - Tony's Confused

EYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WASSUPPPPPPP...yeah...imma go now...

Tony Stark's P.O.V. (First Person)

My jaw dropped. Like, to the floor. I mean, I get that that kid was cool and all, but recruiting him to Avengers?! Now, that was too much Fury. I mean, you already got a super cool lead singer in your super secret boy band. Why would you want a kid? Of course, that wasn't the only reason I was gaping.

When Fury asked the kid if he wanted to join the Avengers, the kid turned his head to the side like confused dog. He lifted his eyebrow and asked, "What's that? The name of your cosplay group? No thanks. I don't do cosplay."

At this, the entire group looked like me. Well, not like me, I mean, I'm too handsome for them. I meant that they were all gaping. I decided to take the lead and say, "Wait...you don't know the Avengers? The Earth's mightiest heroes? Saved the world from aliens and Thor's evil brother? Also saved the world from Ultron? My crazy evil robot creation?"

He looked up and thought, "Nope. I was kidnapped by my crazy aunt and got amnesia for a while, so everything's a little hazy."

We all looked at each other, and Wanda decided speak up, "So, you know nothing of us and our powers?"

He rolled his eyes, "I know all your powers. I sort of figured them out during our little fight. I hate yours, especially. Not cool, and if you tell anyone about what you saw. Hades, you'll regret it."

Wanda gulped and nodded. I looked at her and then back at the kid. I turned to him, and he sized me up. It was sort of intimidating, but I kept in mind that he was 17. Just because he could beat Cap in an arm wrestle and knock out all the Avengers without breaking a sweat, didn't mean I had to be afraid of him.

"Okay, so you want me to help a couple of superheroes save the world? No thanks," he said, checking his nails.

Cap stepped up, "But don't you want to help people? Get the fame? The glory? Hang out in a tower with the best technology?"

Percy just shook his head, "No. Been there, done that. Besides, technology and I don't get along well. So-"

Suddenly, Friday's voice rang out, loud and clear, "Sir, there seem to be some cheerleaders and poodles here to see-"

"Me, I'm guessing?" I said, looking at Percy smugly.

"Actually, no sir. They're here for Perseus," said Friday, a hint of amusement in her tone.

I stumbled in confusion and looked at Percy who had wide eyes. He looked up, "Ms. Friday, voice thing? How many of each are there?"

"There look to be about six poodles and eight cheerleaders, Perseus," Friday rang out.

"Styx." Percy hissed, pulling out his ballpoint pen. What was he going to do with that? Sign autographs? If he was, that should've been me, not some nobody seventeen year old kid.

"Stay here," he said commandingly, glaring at each one of us.

We flinched and Fury nodded on behalf of us. Percy's eyes grew dark and swirled, like the calm before a raging storm. He asked Friday to open the doors and ran down to where I presumed the girls and poodles were. The rest of us walked up to the monitor in the room, and I turned it on.

"Friday, pull up the live feed of Percy and the cheerleaders," I said. Friday transferred the feed to the monitor and we all watched what was going down with the teens and dogs. Wow. That should be a reality show. Teens and Dogs - for family viewing.

Anyway, here's exactly what happened in the feed:

Percy walked up to the cheerleader, twirling his pen like a baton. He stopped and smirked before asking in southern accent, "What can I do you for, Ma'am?"

The cheerleader seemingly snarled, "Perseus Jackson, I'm here on behalf him."

Percy blanched, "Styx. You have a message for me, Kelli?" Percy stepped forward, all traced of mirth gone from his face.

The cheerleader smirked, "You'll be joining him soon. He misses your company, and all those sweet screams."

Percy got paler than before, and I just grimaced. Screams? What did she mean by screams? I looked back at Percy who seemed paler than before...if that was even possible.

Then he smirked, despite the way he looked, "Then, he must listen to yours. I hear the weather is nice this time of year, so you won't mind if send you back to take my place right?"

The cheerleader, Kelli, growled, "You'll see for yourself."

She lunged at him, her fake nails preparing to scratch his arm. Percy uncapped his pen and a baseball bat came into view. Okay, I seriously needed that tech. I wonder where he got it?

Anyway, Percy swung his bat at the girl's waist, and she burst into dust. Wait what? The other cheerleaders did the same and Percy, in swift movement, killed every one of them. The poodles were next. Percy just rolled his eyes. Vicious poodles. Very vicious. They snapped, jumped, and bit at Percy, trying to make him bleed, but Percy swung his bat near their heads and...bye bye little killer dogs.

Percy capped his baseball bat and turned it back into a pen. He could have left. There was clearly an EXIT sign to his right. Instead, Percy seemed to be coming back to us. I hastily shut down the video feed on the computer. We all assumed natural poses, which meant...I was on the floor, fearing for my life because I stole Nat's gun.

Percy came in and looked at us, an amused expression on face, "Ok...I don't know what's been happening in here, but it looks totally normal to me. Well, at least as normal as it can get, considering that I'm in a room with teenage-stalking cospl- I mean, superheroes. Anyway, about the whole joining your team thing, I'll take you up on it. But don't make wear a leotard or spandex."

He shuddered, and I stifled a chuckle, "Why? I think you'd make a pretty ballerina."

He glared at me, "My girlfriend started taking ballet, and those leotards make her extra flexible. Extra flexible girlfriend, means more deadly for me. Wait...OH STYX! ANNABETH! WHERE'S THE BATHRROM?!"

I pointed down the hall and watched the boy run like his life depended on it. Okay, what just happened here?
