Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Beginning

Ugh.... ANOTHER request?

My name is Shibuya Tamotsu. I am just a scrawny teenage gamer with a surprising amount of friends who also love gaming. My favorite game is Meadow of Mystics, a fantasy RPG game with a nearly infinite leveling system and all sorts of other features! Like Guilds and even custom spell creation! Sorry, I'm rambling on, I just love this game so much! But let's continue the story...

Me and a few friends just won a ranked team match on Meadow of Mystics not too long ago before this notification popped up on my phone. The notification came from this service I've been using called "Big Brain Trades".

Basically, you can list any video game item, and people can either offer money prices or items of their own to trade with you, then you guys meet somewhere and make the transaction. It's a black market thing, so naturally it always looks like we're doing a drug deal or something...

I forgot I even had something up on here, but I suppose I should check it out. So, I take a closer look at the request. That's when I remembered I had listed my secretly hacked "Infinitely-Bladed Sword" on here.

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention I'm a hacker?

Essentially, Meadow of Mystics has a system where damage is "rolled" between two values. And the weapon I use deals somewhere between 1050 and 2500 damage normally. The cool thing about it is that if it deals max damage, it adds on another roll of damage. And if THAT damage is maxed, it does it again until it does anything less than maximum. So, I set it so this weapon's Max Damage is 1... If it is forced to always do maximum, then by all means it's infinite damage!

The weapon not only kills anything/anyone, but it also bans the person who used it on the first strike. As you can see, I'm much smarter than the average person. This guy's also offering 500$ for it! What a steal!

"Alright... I guess I'll go..." I muttered aloud as I typed to reply to this guy.

I typed "I like your deal! Where do you want to meet?"

He replied a few minutes later "Meet me at Percy Park at around 10"

When I saw that, I looked at my clock. 9:25.... I'm normally home with my mom, dad, and little sister, but they're gone for the week for my little sister's camping trip, so...

I replied "Got it! See you there!"

I put my phone away and didn't even bother reading his response as I put a flash drive in the computer. I put the item into the drive, and got off Meadow of Mystics, soon leaving the house to go complete this deal.

30 minutes later...

I forgot how long the walk was from my house to Percy Park. It was dark, and the only thing indicating I was even close to the park at this point was a street lamp illuminating a sign that said "Welcome to Perseus Park!" It says Perseus, but everyone just calls it Percy.

I finally saw a figure with a black hoodie on. He was slim, seemingly bored, and he stood against the street lamp to prop himself up. I got just close enough that he saw me.

"You IllusoryBlacksmith?" He asked, his voice gravely and almost sarcastic sounding.

I forgot he could see my username from the app. I quickly look at my phone to see his username.

"Yeah." I simply said. "You must be.... LittleTimmy123?" I asked, unsure if my confused tone shone through my saying his username out loud. Who calls themselves that??

He nodded, and I guess my tone was heard, because he replied. "It's just a dumb name I came up with when I was ten, and it just stuck." He admitted, with a groan. "So, you have the weapon?" He asked, and I showed him the flash drive. He handed me the money, which I immediately counted. Sure enough, 500$ were in my hand. I handed over the drive, and what I didn't think was even possible seemed to happen in front of me. This gloomy guy actually SMILED, looking down at the drive.

"Thanks man, have a good day!" He said as he began to walk away.

"Y-Yeah man..... You too...." I replied, beginning to feel bad actually. I didn't think I even HAD morals anymore! But I suppose there's a first for anything and everything!

I decided to just leave the area now, and head home...

3 hours later...

Well, I ended up finding and following "LittleTimmy", I watched as his big buff Draconic character attacked a giant rock monster, and obliterated it in one swing of the sword. Then he promptly vanished from existence. Yup, it banned him.

I smiled wickedly when I saw that, and continued playing my game. However, in my trance of just playing the game, I didn't notice the loud knocking at my door until the match me and my friends were playing ended.

I got up to answer it, and before I could open the door I saw the face of the same guy I just scammed. I backed up quickly, but heard gunshots. He then burst through my previously locked door, which I realized no longer had a handle on the outside end of the door.

This is gonna get dicey....
