The storm had stopped hours ago, the rose pink glow of dawn replaced with warm sunlights lit up the floor of the small house. Ruby couldn't sleep. Not with the jumbled words of explanation she had to align to perfection only to crumble down mid sentences. Then start putting together the words, cautious so that she won't end up mentioning something she shouldn't.
Her head throbbing with pain and so does her heart, ripped apart from its cage from just the fact that she has to face Raiene and explain everything she had blurted out. Her mind was too jumbled up with concern and worry as well as self-blame to even think of sleeping.
