Had she known a day like this would arrive, never would she venture out to the forest, go against the Queen or even step into Ruby's hut. Not a word would she exchange with creatures inside the forest nor would she respond to the whisperings of wolves. She would remain still and lower head, kneel and beg for mercy, accepting any and all that come at her feet, if then she could remain by her mother's side.

Flustered by her reaction, Ruby doesn't know what to do. Right after having their lunch, Raiene asked to meet Estalle, Ruby agreed without much thought and brought her here. There's still time before Raiene leaves for Ertellib and a visitation from a family member won't affect Estalle's condition at all. She found the current situation out of her expectation. Kneeling down by her side, Ruby patted her back in an attempt to comfort the child, the girl turned to face Ruby.
