She needed to use both hands to hold a steamed bun before biting it down, despite heat coming out of the bitten parts, she still let out a muffled sigh before gazing up at her with teary eyes. Tattered loose rough fabric reaching only below her knees, dirty nails and dried lips, her clear gaunt appearance tugging at heartstrings, somehow her pair of azure deep eyes staring straight at her soul. Grateful beyond belief.
"Do you have a name?" Ruby managed to ask, wiping away a stain near a corner of her lips with a handkerchief, she flinched from the gesture but smiled with gratitude once Ruby lowered her hands.
"They call me Clover," she whispered after biting down the entire bun. Ruby immediately took out another steaming bun still wrapped within a paper, her eyes turned wide with anticipation, with a small smile Ruby gave it to her and amidst her excitement, she bit down some part of the paper, though she still giggled upon taking a bite.
