Ligi saw the beam coming for Bang and Resi. They noticed it too late, and they could not dodge the petrifying beam.
Ligi subconsciously ran towards the beam as he tried to intercept it. This was the moment that Ligi needed the shield the most, but he was not thinking about that. He was only thinking about saving them, even if he were to sacrifice himself to do it.
Ligi turned towards the beam and protected Bang and Resi from being hit. He crossed his arms as he still tried to defend himself from the beam.
He closed his eyes and waited for the worst. After a movement, he did not feel anything different. He opened his eyes and saw a wooden shield on his right hand.
He could feel the power flowing in his hands, and he was able to deflect the beam away from them. He was beyond ecstatic that his shield had returned to him, but this was not the time to celebrate.
