Ligi looked down and saw a crack that formed in his shield. It started in the middle and propagated throughout the wooden bark of the shield.
He could feel the strength in his shield become weaker and weaker until he could not feel its presence any longer. Pieces of bark flew away and dispersed into the wind as they turned into powder.
The barrage of ocean punches did not stop and continued to chip pieces of wood on Ligi's shield. It was not long until the sound of one big crack entered Ligi's ears.

The shield in Ligi's right arm broke apart and fell to the ground. It turned into a powder that was absorbed in the ground, leaving Ligi, Resi, and the rest of the villagers defenseless against Darh's ultimate.
