The demon's injured bodies propped themselves up with whatever strength they could muster. Their injuries limited the movements they could make and their firepower. Their eyes turned serious when Isiah threatened them with another rocket that could very well destroy their bodies.
Raguel's left hand glowed a bright blue light, and crystals grew from the sump. It grew into a crude version of an arm with only the basic shape and were rough around the edges. The newly developed arm was translucent, the same color as the ball of condensed air the Raguel used.
Azrael's chest glowed a bright red light, and a reddish-black sludge came out and repaired the indentation in its chest. The repair was noticeable, like a scab from a wound, only a temporary solution to the problem.
Isiah commanded Blair and Bodt to walk next to him. They did not materialize their weapons as they had used their energy for the rocket. It would need time to be able to recover from exhaustion.
This meant that Isiah could not release the rocket multiple times in a short amount of time, as he declared. It was more of a bluff that bought them enough time to recuperate and plan their next moves.
Isiah calculated his chances of finishing off the two demons. They were at a critical point, and if Isiah did not take this chance to kill them, they would recover. That would make this fight get hairy.
Isiah moved his hands in a complicated way that made Blair and Bodt move forward. Isiah did not dally behind and ran in the middle of his two puppets. His strings allowed him to float above and judge the situation based on the current atmosphere.
Blair and Bodt moved simultaneously, with each step the same as the other, beating in a rhythm. Their black eyes indicated their monotonous actions devoid of life and uniqueness. This allowed Isiah to use them more efficiently than just shouting out his commands and hoping they would follow him.
The two demons looked towards the trio that was rushing towards them. They separated, creating space in between them to dodge the three incoming enemies. They did not look flustered or hurried even though their bodies were injured and beaten from the rocket.
Their eyes were clear and concise, as if they did not take Isiah's attacks seriously. It was either that, or they did not care about living or dying because of their nature as demons.
The three reached the two demons as Blair and Bodt separated and faced their respective enemies; Blair faced Azrael and Bodt faced Raguel.
They used their bodies and restrained the gigantic bodies of the demons, punching and grabbing whatever they can to assert dominance.
Isiah floated in between the two demons and went into a fetal position. The black strings that allowed him afloat started to wrap around him and create a cocoon woven from the black lines.
More black strings came out and flew all over the place, creating a dome of intertwined black strings. Some of the black strings attached themselves to the demons and wrapped them into the web of strings on the dome.
The dome was pitch black and had no visibility from the inside. The demons were caught up in the web of strings that flew all around the some, like a fly caught in a spider's web.
The demons could feel the air lessen as they struggled to keep breathing. The pressure bearing down on them tripled as they felt a strong power coming from the cocoon that Isiah was trapped into.
"Domain of Webbed Entrapment"
A chilling voice came out of the black cocoon. One could only assume that Isiah was the one speaking out.
*crack*
A small fracture appeared on the black cocoon that allowed bright violet light to seep outwards. The crack started to propagate as the ground underneath them began to rumble from the pressure.
*crack* *crack* *crack*
More and more cracks appeared as the cocoon was now filled with bright violet light. One final fracture came as whatever was inside the black cocoon was now out in the open. A violet light blinded everyone before complete darkness overcame the dome.
Out from the depths of the darkness was a dim violet light coming from eight sources bunched together in a small space.
If one looked closer, they would find that those were not sources of light but sinister and piercing eyes that looked directly at its captives.
From the dim light of its eyes came the appearance of its head. It was black in color, hairy in texture, and ominous in appearance. Its mouth was separated in the middle and had fangs on its ends that were sharp enough to cut the tension inside the dome.
A leg came out of the shadows featuring the same black color and hairy texture. It looked thin compared to its whole body, but in reality, it was the size of two forearms put together.
Its abdomen was the most prominent feature on its body, hairy in some parts and shiny on others. Its carapace was colored black and violet, creating the illusion of having more than eight eyes.
Another leg came out, and at this point, the two demons recognized the fearful creature in the darkness. It was a spider.
The gigantic spider, more significant than the two demons, walked towards its captives. The demons tried to move but were impeded by the black strings wrapped around their bodies.
The spider opened its mandibles and reared its head, intent of biting Raguel's head off.
Raguel glowed a bright blue light that crystallized the black strings encompassing his whole body. It turned frozen from Raguel's power and was now brittle in property. The demon used this chance to break out of his entrapment and dodged the humongous spider's sharp bite.
*swish*
A loud sound accompanied the fatal bite from the spider. Feeling its power, Raguel decided it was best to get out of the domain to minimize the spider's tremendous advantage inside.
Before Raguel could do so, more black strings came out from the spider's abdomen and wrapped themselves around its body. It tried to freeze the strings once again, but it was of no use.
Knowing that Raguel would not escape so quickly, the spider took its attention towards Azrael.
Azrael did the same as Raguel and rotted his way out of the black strings wrapped around it. It was successful in breaking out but was once again trapped by strings from the spider's abdomen.
The spider knew that Azrael would escape like Raguel did the first time, so it already launched out more strings in precaution.
This exchange only gave the demons more time to try and avoid the spider. If they could not do anything else, it was only a matter of time until the spider eats them whole.
The spider was smart, indicating that it wasn't just a wild animal. It was most probable that Isiah was the one controlling the spider. His body should be located in the spider's body if that hypothesis was correct.
The spider walked with its eight legs towards Azrael and reared its head once again. Azrael could not get out of the black strings covering his body, so his movements were limited.
Its years and years of experience allowed the old demon to think outside the box and solve the problem it was facing.
It rotted the ground beneath it and submerged in the soil to avoid the bite coming from the spider.
The spider squinted its many eyes and stomped the ground in anger. It could not believe that its victims were able to dodge both of its attacks.
It used all of its eight legs to dig underground to try and find its prize.
While the spider was busy dealing with Azrael, Raguel tried to use its power to overcome the black strings surrounding it. Raguel solidified the air around and created a sharp blade that might cut the black strings.
It solidified the air and created a straightforward machine that would make the knife move forwards and backward to cut the strings.
To an average person's eyes, the knife did no damage at all to the strings, but the demon's sharp eyes saw slight microscopical tears in the strings. Raguel just needed time to cut the black strings.
Unfortunately, fate would not allow that as the spider got bored searching in the ground and turned its attention towards Raguel. It saw the escape attempt, so it hurried towards Raguel to try and bite its head off.
It used its strings to fling itself towards Raguel at high speeds. The ground rumbled as the weight of the spider was displaced in the air.
The spider reached Raguel and opened its jaws wide, just a few centimeters away from Raguel's crystalline head. Raguel's eyes did not convey a sense of fear but instead displayed calmness in the face of adversity.
