Chapter 72 - Contra

Bang patiently waited for their turn to be inspected in the gate. Most of the people at the front of the line were wearing light torn clothes and barely any belongings.

 

He noticed that most of the people entering the town by foot were families who looked malnourished. Their clothes were dirty, and their skin and bones were visible in the torn holes of their clothes.

 

Resi waited as he tapped his foot impatiently. He was itching to get into the town and could not wait to explore the wonders of this new place.

 

"Uaaaaahhhhh"

 

A baby's cries were heard from a family of two behind the line. A woman was trying to quell the cries of her two-year-old baby while holding the hands of her ten-year-old kid. She seemed to be too preoccupied to notice that her pouch fell from her shirt.

 

Even though everybody could see her troubles, no one seemed to want to help her.
