This was the consequence of Ligi acting without regard. He was too aggressive and Blair took advantage of that fact. She ignored the obvious attack by Ligi and tried to finish off Resi who was down the ground. She smiled as she saw her umbrella whizzing through the air, rotating to create a better force to pierce through Resi's heart.
Ligi tried to run. He gathered his strength in his legs and burst out power to accelerate towards Resi to try and save him from the piercing umbrella. He regretted ever trying to act recklessly as this had caused Resi prone to be attacked.
His feet felt like it was on quicksand, absorbing every force he tried to run towards Resi. The umbrella was moving too fast and he was too far from Resi to realistically reach him in the amount of time given. He could do nothing more yet he subconsciously reached out his hands to try and protect Resi even though he knew it would do nothing.
All of a sudden, the shield on his right arm separated itself and shot off towards Resi. The shield split off into three smaller shield-like shapes that appeared almost instantly next to Resi compared to the rotating umbrella. The three smaller shields revolved around Resi, creating an invisible defensive membrane.
The rotating umbrella reached into the barrier and collided with one of the revolving shields and the shield stopped. The sound of metal hitting metal resounded throughout the battlefield as the rotating umbrella skidded through the barrier and deflected off its original course.
Everyone was silent as even Ligi, who created the shield, was surprised at the new occurrence. He didn't know what had happened as he subconsciously tried to reach out to Resi and the shield suddenly shot forth. He stopped in place, astonished at himself.
The rotating umbrella pierced into the ground and disintegrated. The black powder traveled through that air and returned to Blair who had a look of surprise and fury painted across her face. She didn't think that Ligi had another defensive skill that could travel and protect other people. She bit her lip even harder as it started to bleed.
She reformed her umbrella by her side and pointed it at Ligi. She did not think that she would have this much trouble dealing with a measly kid who knew nothing about the world.
Ligi retreated into his position and the three small shields revolving around Resi came together and formed a bigger shield as it shot forth towards Ligi's right hand. He felt weird not having his shield in his right hand but he was glad that he was able to protect Resi with his power.
Bang got a notification in his head as he witnessed Ligi unlocking a skill that allowed him to save Resi on time. He absorbed the information.
'Congratulations! Ligi has learned a skill. 100wp will be awarded.'

"You having some trouble there, Blair?"
The man in the middle taunted Blair as everyone could see that her attacks were nullified by Ligi. She grasped the handle of her umbrella with such force that her hands started to tremble. Black powder started to flow around her as her anger flared up her black powder.
She bent low and accelerated towards Ligi with her black umbrella in her hand. She did not extend it forward but instead let it skid in the ground at her back. She looked directly at Ligi with anger plastered across her face. The veins on her forehead flared up as she opened up her umbrella.
The umbrella opened up showing the inner mechanism of the black weapon. Black powder fell out of her umbrella as it became debris that danced in the air. Wind started to gather inside the umbrella, like a cyclone that was brewing on a stormy night.
Black powder joined in the cyclone, forming a black-colored tornado ready to devour whatever comes in its way. She ran towards Ligi only stopping completely a few feet away from him. As she stopped, she used the momentum of her force to propel the cyclone away from her umbrella and towards Ligi.
"Soot cyclone barrage!"
She shouted as the tornado shot in the air, growing as it went closer towards Ligi. The cyclone gathered the air nearby and used it to become larger than Ligi. It rotated in the air with so much force that their clothes danced in the air and made their hairs flail around their faces.
Ligi could not dodge the tornado as it was launched only a few feet away from him. He tried to dodge to his left but it was too late as he was engulfed inside the tornado. He raised his shield in defense and his behind it as best that he could.
The black powder that was caught in the tornado became blades that sliced Ligi as the tornado revolved around him. Skin-deep cuts were now all over his body as he went into a fetal position to try and avoid the blades.
She did not waste this chance and made used her umbrella as a lance to pierce towards Ligi. The umbrella penetrated the tornado without any disturbances. The black powder inside the umbrella only served to make the blades inside the tornado much sharper.
She raised her lance-like umbrella and pierced towards Ligi's legs as it was the only place that his shield didn't defend.
"Watch out for your legs, Ligi!"
Lobo shouted a warning towards Ligi. He could not help Ligi in fighting Blair since he would only serve to disturb Ligi's rhythm. The only thing he could do was to warn him of any attack that could come his way so he did.
It served as a great warning as Ligi retracted his legs further. The blade in the top of the umbrella pierced in the ground as it missed Ligi's legs. Blair was frustrated as she retrieved her umbrella from the ground and prepared for another attack. Unfortunately for her, Ligi would not make it that easy for her.
He unfurled his legs like a spring and kicked towards Blair's legs. The attack was not fast since Ligi did not have any strength and skills in kicking but Blair still had to retreat due to the unknown factor.
Ligi tried to stand up while his legs were buckling due to the injuries he sustained from the tornado. After finding his footing with his feet, he raised his shield and revolved it in the opposite direction of the flow of air in the tornado.
As the tornado hit Ligi's shield, it was reflected away from it and lost its force and momentum as a consequence. The tornado that was surrounding him dispersed as it lost the black powder that was holding it together.
Ligi panted as he stood on one leg, full of cuts around his body. He looked beat up yet his eyes were fired up. He probably couldn't defeat her head on but he was also sure that she could not defeat him. They were now at a stalemate as Ligi answered every attack that Blair produced.
Blair stomped on the ground, frustrated that her attacks could not finish off Ligi. In the city, she could be considered a powerful figure. She may not be in the top ranking but she was sure that she was better than most of the people there.
She had to think of how to beat Ligi. She smiled when she figured out a plan.
"Is this only what the Defending Tip could do? Looks like even the leader's weakness is passed down to the members."
As soon as she stated that insulting sentence, Ligi looked up towards Blair with wide eyes. His glare was piercing through her with such anger that she knew that she succeeded in angering Ligi. She wanted to infuriate him to get him to lower his guard.
"You take that back!!"
That moment of outburst from Ligi was all Blair needed. As Ligi felt anger towards Blair, he suddenly felt a numbing pain in his stomach. He looked down and saw a black umbrella piercing his stomach from the back. Blood started to flow from his stomach as he felt his strength fade away from him. He fell to his knees as the pain overcame him.
"Ligi, no!!!"
Lobo saw how Ligi was suddenly attacked from the back. He saw black powder gather from the ground and form an umbrella that penetrated his stomach. He tried to warn Ligi but it was too fast.
Ligi felt his head ache as he was starting to lose consciousness. His sight started to have spots as he fell on the floor. There was only one thing that could save him now. Underneath his breath, he spoke without strength.
"Demonic vice activate."
