Alissa's P.O.V
I wake up hearing the same beeping that I did in the hospital except this time I wasn't in the hospital.This place was different it was comfortable, definitely better than the hospital.Little did I know, I was about to eat my words when a man came through talking to a man in a white lab coat who I guessed was supposed to be doctor. The man next to the so-called doctor looked intense as if I had done something wrong it was kind of scary like he was gonna kill me if it wasn't for the fact the doctor was there. It only got scarier when he talked though....
He starred above me and said " Maze its good your awake"
It took me a minute to realize what he said but when he did I sat straight up in the bed. My name wasn't Maze it was Alissa so why was he calling me by someone else's name. I part my lips to began to speak but the doctor quickly interrupts me by saying,
"Please lay back Miss so you don't damage your stitches on your wounds"
My wounds? I was supposed to have drowned so what wounds would I have besides minor bruises and maybe scrapes, and these wounds definitely not one of those. This situation kept getting more confusing by the minute, but I laid back and listened to him not wanting to cause any issues.
He was rambling on about the usual on how I should get some rest, don't move around to much, etc. All I could focus on was my main 3 questions, Why was I here? Who is Maze? Where is my body?. I was worried about my parents mainly, I had to find them and tell them that whoever I'm my body wasn't me and that They had to help me switch back.
I was lifted away from my thoughts when a loud bang was made and someone walked through the door....
Two guys entered the room practically racing over to me and tripping over themselves foolishly.One was tall had straight dark hair wearing a black blazer over a plain tucked white shirt with a pair of jeans, the other had tan colored wavy hair was pretty tall wearing a untucked rolling stones shirt with a pair of jeans. I was so confused on what they were laughing about though but when I found out why that only made this more confusing, when they got to my side and said "how did the top assassin get shot" I wasn't an assassin, at least not a few hours ago I wasn't . I don't think anyone realized how confused I was I simply responded with a "its not nice to insult someone who was just injured you know" The one with dark hair laughed and said "that shot must have taken all the spunk out of you what happened to the maze I know."I just glared in utter confusion about this whole situation. I needed to get the boss of this place and tell him that I'm not supposed to be here and that I need to get home.
As soon as I was thinking this through the person I assume is the boss came in because the two goons immediately scrambled and left me in the room.The old man came up to me and said "As you know your ranking has dropped but no need to worry about that right now you first need to worry about getting well but you will have to contribute to the team while you are still here.Therefore you will be helping the house cleaners water the plants on Tuesday which gives you two days to rest. The doctor will be in here to escort you to your room shortly to make sure you get there without having any accidents. Do you have any questions?" Thank goodness this was my time to tell him that I'm not supposed to be here and perhaps I can get home soon not that I want to go but Its better than being surrounded by strangers that I don't know."I do have a question, well its not really a question it's more of a statement. I'm not supposed to be here my name is Alissa not Maze and I was pushed into a large lake not shot. Can you please take me home?" The man looked at me as if I was insane and then began to laugh obnoxiously he said that he would have the doctor re-analyze me for memory loss and said that I should just lay down and rest until the doctor comes to bring me to my room.
After a well needed 20 minute nap I realized the only way out of this place was for me to escape. I quickly removed the pulse monitor and IV out of my arm and got up from the bed and rushed towards the door. As I pulled it open I prepared to run as fast as a injured person could. I could here my feet hitting the ground as I jogged. A man yelled " Somebody catch her" and before I know it the two goons from earlier were chasing after me, a bolt of adrenaline hit as I bolted to the door in which I was so close to. I frantically unlocked it and pulled the door open the brightness of the sun hitting me as I bolted to the outside. I got far enough to were I thought the goons were done chasing me and sat on a tree stump observing the lovely scenery as I caught my breath. Soon as I began to fully relax two arms grabbed me and picked me up. I began trying to kick them hoping to get a pain reaction out of them causing them to put me down but the online pain reaction I got was my own as a surge of pain went through me I immediately stopped kicking. I caught a good glimpse of the people realizing it was the goons from earlier. One of them said " Maze you have really lost your mind" I scoffed. What was it going to take for them to realize I wasn't Maze and that they had the wrong girl. One of them opened the door and set me in the wheelchair the doctor had waiting apparently.
